I'm working on several and just can't seem to get them to the finish line. Hopefully, I'll have something in the next month. DD

I appreciate the prayers. I am working on several books and do not give deadlines, because I don't want to disappoint readers. Thank you for reading DD

This question contains spoilers...

(view spoiler) [I'm re-reading the latest Cheerleader story now and I caught something that I missed before that really bothered me. While modeling, Lee is paired with a male model for the bridal pictures and he is unexpectedly kissed during the shoot. You write it as if it is just an innocent event and turns out as a great picture, but it seems to me it's actually sexual assault. Why did you feel this needed to be included? (hide spoiler) ]

Daring Diane

It is my belief that many of the best photographs are often the unscripted ones. I think that has been a theme in many of Lee's modeling segments. In this particular segment, Lee was already worried about the interaction with Octavio and the other models were kidding him. In a true wedding scene, there would obviously be a kiss at some point. I tried to present it as Octavio improvising. I did not present it as some sexually suggestive kiss or a deep french kiss. Lee's reaction is to be stunned and lost in how to react. The implication from the story point of view is that a picture of his reaction can be misinterpreted as the honest reaction a bride might have to the kiss. The suggestion here is that while he was stunned and upset, the facial expression or stunned look made him potentially look like a bride as he stared back at Octavio. I don't think it was assault and not portrayed that way. Ask yourself if a true model getting a chaste lip to lip kiss would feel assaulted. I suspect that kissed in modeling pictures are seldom between people going out or having a personal relationship. The inclusion was meant to provide another chink in Lee's possible view of himself as a man. He should be asking himself if he enjoyed the kiss or how he found himself in the situation. Darby has assured him that she loves him prior and after the scene. You may disagree, but I felt it continued concerns Lee has had throughout the modeling situations. Thanks for Reading DD

Of the stories in this genre, this is one I feel is unfinished. I have actually written a lot past what was published. However, I change my mind on where it should go. I have a lot written, but it still hangs out there. I believe that I will try to de vote some time to this effort in the coming year, maybe this summer. I'm not a real fan of turning over a story. I feel an ownership in what is out there and may or not want to be associated with what might follow in someone else's story-line. Sorry for the delay in responding. Thanks for Reading DD

Is there any way we could commission you for those last chapters? Or even just what you have?

I have looked at several story-lines I worked with in the past. While the stories are fun, they are not necessarily a commercial success. The reality is that it takes a certain amount of time and effort to generate x number of words on the page and while I enjoyed many of the stories, I tend to spend my time where it is more financially beneficial. Sorry. I think I will try to finish Car Seat or at least bring it to a safe stopping point. It feels like it is just hanging out there. Thanks for Reading DD

I appreciate the note. Congratulations on moving forward. have a great year, because that is what Lee always tries to do. Thanks for Reading DD

I posted an answer to another question on my process. I would expect a Lee or Drew book before Sorority house Fire 2. Thanks for Reading DD.

Daring Diane

I posted another answer that I hope it helps to answer the question. I'm working on lots of things. I can't tell you the next book, I can say that the book which has the most content on this day, no guarantees, is Lee 13. Thanks for Reading DD

This is always a hard question to deal with. The truth is that i have been working on several books. I get into one set of characters and write several chapters of the story-line and then I have to stop to evaluate how pieces fit together. If it is Lee, I have to determine whether I missed things which should be in the timeline. Often this leads to a re-evaluation of aspects and I find myself stuck trying to figure out the path the story will take going forward. I do not template a story ahead of time and I do not template a series. I write each story as an adventure where I am excited to find where the story goes. I have recently added segments to the next Drew and Lacey story. I worked on an extensive piece of the next Lee story. Having recently completed a Lee story, I have the characters and their lives in my mind which makes it easier to dive in. I have only a little of the next Robin figured out. I spent a day on a next Tutu book and also spent time reviewing other books like Dress Code and Kappa Delti. Some people complain that I am rewriting the same story as Lee in the KD and Robin stories. I don't think so, but I understand the complaint. They are at the same place in their lives age-wise and all involve a sorority. Lee is a force of character and what can he accomplish. Robin is a freshman searching for love, friendship and that full college experience. The KD book is an older kid finding himself while not necessarily dealing with all his personal issues. The Panty Club books dealt with something similar to Lee's experiences in high school, but Jordan was dealing with his own sexuality along the way. I also have several stories i have worked on over the last two years that are unrelated to anything out there. It all keeps my mind going and I write segments of books before fitting them together for the final product. It's a little different than other authors. I hope that gives you and everyone else some insight into the crazy process. Thanks for reading DD

Great question, We'll have to see if it is in the next book. Given all the other activity in the book, I wondered at the time if it didn't just feel like filler. We'll have to see. Thanks for Reading, DD

Hopefully, later this year. I've had some health issues which delayed everything. Thanks for reading, DD

Rising Juniors, the Twelfth book in the Lee Corcoran series, follows Lee Corcoran, who has completed his sophomore year in college at the University of Michigan. These books primarily follow Lee and his best friend Darby, a girl. While the book is written to allow a reader to enjoy it without all of the history, if you want to understand all the characters and dynamics in their lives, reading the previous eleven books is the only way. Long-term threads and relationships tie the books together. As a freshman in high school, Lee became involved in a girls cheerleading program as an advisor and trainer where he was reluctantly introduced to crossdressing. Lee found that he enjoyed the softer side of clothing. As high school progressed, circumstances forced Lee to wear a feminine wardrobe in more and more situations. One of the key elements of the storyline is that Lee enjoys his dressing while still wanting to hang onto his masculinity. It is an internal struggle which is a constant battle throughout the series. He has no doubts about his heterosexuality and loves the woman in his life. Spoiler alert [if you have not read the other books] Throughout high school, Lee dated women, participated in cheerleading, was the starting shortstop on the baseball team for four years, and wore women’s underwear and outer clothes virtually all the time in his senior year. He and his friends accomplished a lot. Lee ended up being the head cheerleader. Over time, his best friend, Darby, learned of Lee’s preferences for certain feminine attire. Attending a major university, with a scholarship for cheerleading, Lee spends 100% of his time as a female student. An active member of a national sorority, participating in three sports in all three seasons, Lee has taken on responsibility for charity activity on campus and nationally for the National Cheerleading Association. While Darby and he are a couple, they do not present that way in public on campus. On campus, Lee spent his first two years living in a girl’s dormitory with other cheerleaders. In the coming fall, he will be moving into the sorority house. Lee will be working for the summer with the Detroit Tigers baseball team as a trainer and coach. The pair have done a lot of modeling and surely there will be more requests for their services. At this point, Lee is comfortable and happy living as a coed virtually all the time and any reluctance to cross-dressing is way in the past. He still fights with the idea that he wants to be a man for Darby and worries that he has given something up by not pursuing more manly ambitions. Crossdressing is dealt with as part of a real life. The story does not involve explicit sex. Young adult readers should be comfortable reading this book. * * * * * * * * * * The Cheerleader series follows Lee Corcoran as he grows, matures, and experiences life from pre-high school through college. The main characters in this story will be recurring in other installments in the series. Please leave a review after you are done reading on both Amazon and Goodreads. Cheerleader 11 : Sophomore Spring Sophomore Spring, the Eleventh book in the Lee Corcoran series, follows Lee Corcoran, in his second year in college at the University of Michigan. His life does not follow the typical male athlete path. Bullies & Guns, is the fifth book in the Drew Leighton series of novels. These books are a fun easy read with engaging characters. Ripped from the headlines, students will appear at high school with guns. Fair Warning, NO STUDENTS OR TEACHERS DIE, but students do bring guns to school and there is shooting in the school office. After bullying and harassing Drew and friends at school, several students were expelled. As their lives are crashing around them, those students want to blame someone other than themselves. They gather guns and head to school to get even with Drew and his friends for accusing them and helping the police. This story is a realistic portrayal of students who have access to guns using said guns in an effort to attack or hurt people they want to blame. Drew and his best friend Lacy will assist in the evacuation of students and teachers. Later, Drew will negotiate to trade himself in order to save a shooting victim. Of course, the shooters have no idea about Drew’s martial arts skills. In the second part of this story, Drew is asked to help authorities protect a high profile daughter of an elected official. Drew is finding out who he is in the world and helping others is high on the list. Along the way, Drew and Lacy decide to investigate a more personal relationship and go out on a few dates. In this book, Drew uses his skills to resolve several cases of assault involving guns. Near the end of the book, we will see how government authorities can sometimes bully innocent people in a thirst for their own definition of justice. Bullies look for weakness or something that sets someone apart from others. Anything unusual can draw the attention of a bully. High school is an environment ripe with opportunity for bullies. As children grow up body changes lead to physical changes and hygiene requirements. Big kids and little kids, athletes and nerds, heritage or specialized interests which may be unusual can all result in a student being isolated or identified as a victim of opportunity for a bully. Drew Leighton, a high school sophomore, was born male and experienced a case of gynecomastia which resulted in real breasts which do not seem to be going away. He is under a doctor’s care now and is attending school as a female student with a doctor’s note explaining that he is transgendered in his pocket. No one at the school is aware of Drew’s true gender except for his friend Lacy. Drew is trying to understand his body and his sexuality in different ways than all the other high school students around him. Together, Drew and Lacy have encountered and helped resolve a number of cases of bullying. While this book can be read as a standalone, it is the fifth book in the Drew Leighton series.
