Danseuse Privee: Menage a Trois is a conversation between the performer and her memories of herself, a conservation with the camera, and a conservation with the viewer. A three-way, if you will. It's about a moment of intimacy. The moment is obsessional, repetitive, but at the same time slightly different, just like when you reach back into your memories and can't quite remember every detail. It's a bleak scene, a study of a lost soul, but the action is layered around these dreamy figures, capturing the quality of remembering.
