Shima Luan (better known as just Shima ) is an American YouTuber and voice actress in the Danger Dolan series. The Shima character is a beautiful female white and pink anthropomorphic cat who reads and answers questions on Super Planet Dolan. Shima also has her own YouTube channel , which features her art, bloopers from Super Planet Dolan, and more.
According to her voice actress, Shima was abandoned as a kitten and adopted by Danger Dolan. The two co-star in the animated series " Super Planet Dolan ", where Shima reads fan-submitted questions and corrects Dolan's whimsical, and wildly inaccurate answers.
She is currently MIA and is away. At first, it was thought because of computer problems, but the most "known" theory is she was stalked by fans and went into hiding. Not even the Super Planet Dolan crew knows what happened, but they reassured fans that Shima is safe.
Shima's last appearance was "Do Penguins Have Knees?", recorded in March. Please do respect her privacy.

This subreddit is about unsolved mysteries. Whenever possible, actual redditors have participated in investigating the events. What you are about to read is not a news broadcast.
As some of you may know, Shima Luan (known primarily as just Shima) was a host for the YouTube channel Danger Dolan, later renamed Planet Dolan.
Many have regarded her as one of the best hosts on the channel. I was one of these people back in 2015-2016, always tuning in to her countdowns and cartoons on their animated channel, Super Planet Dolan.
I always enjoyed her personality: she started out on YouTube, surprisingly, narrating books. She believed that everyone deserved to hear great stories, and would find books not many people had heard of and narrate them for her channel. It was a commendable effort, and appeared to work when Dolan took her in as his new host.
She always had a soft, timid way of speaking that many found soothing to listen to, including myself. She seemed like a genuinely interesting person to be around, which helped her career on Planet Dolan greatly.
However, the avatar in which she was depicted was... not to her liking, from what I've been told. Shima's avatar for Planet Dolan was a pink cat wearing a red dress. Now, that doesn't sound that bad when it comes down to it. After all, these are just silly YouTube cartoons.
But when you actually consider what kinds of people you'll find on the internet, you start to realize that maybe this wasn't such a great choice for a timid, shy bookworm like Shima.
What's worse is that the artist who designed her character is a furry, and a well known one.
Now, I won't be naming anyone here, and I'm sure the artist had no malicious intent behind it whatsoever. But I believe the "fanart" created from Shima's avatar played a role in her leaving the show.
She stayed with Planet Dolan until her last episode, released September 25, 2016, although as it was animated, she likely left long before it was finished. Her last reported sighting was on October 13, 2016, when she was apparently seen playing Minecraft.
At the end of said episode, Dolan makes an announcement, saying that he doesn't know where Shima is, but knows she's safe.
Her Twitter and YouTube have been left abandoned for nearly 3 years now, and Shima's whereabouts remain one of the biggest mysteries in the animated YouTube community.
I recall seeing a comment on her YouTube Wiki page (reliable source, I know) from someone going by the name "RareKirby". He/she claimed to have worked with Dolan and animated a few videos for him, and claims that Shima had disappeared due to being in the hospital, and she passed away on December 11, 2017.
The comment was posted June 3, 2018, and as of that date, no animated video on any of Dolan's channels have been credited to anyone going by "RareKirby". They provided a link to an obituary regarding Shima's passing, although the link is dead and doesn't lead to anything. As well as that, many of the replies don't believe their claims.
I personally don't believe Shima is dead. The optimistic side in me says she's living a peaceful, calm life away from the internet, with loved ones supporting whatever she's up to now. But there's always the chance she's actually in danger or has passed away, and I think we should hear it from her publicly.
I'm not making this to harass Shima. She's been through enough.
I just want to know she's ok. She did a lot for my childhood.
TL;DR, Shima's probably fine, but I just want to know she is.

So from what i saw especially on her twitter, she liked the Fan Art and would link it on her twitter to show people. So no offence i don't think this is it, an i also saw the Rarekirby post before even finding this, and it is a troll account, with a fake obituary and mis spelling of the name.

There is a separate youtube channel by the same name of Shima Luan. They post a majority of earrapey content, but if you manage to deal with it, some of them if decoded could be something of interest. However, it's likely this is just a troll and just not caring about Shima. But... to be honest... I don't think she's really going to make it. Her last video was of months ago, and... I don't know if I want to dip my toes into any cryptology, I'm just a kid on the internet.

RareKirby is a cringy homestuck fan they're clearly challenged mentally lol, i wouldn't take them serious at all.
Rarekirby has also claimed to have worked for Dolan in the past and there are no records of that ever happening.
An easy way to find out is to go to the channels and search the name there, as the people who worked in the videos are always credited in the description.
Shima Luan also wouldn't be her real name.
It's like I said: I doubt Shima's actually in any danger. She probably just left because of the stalkers and furries and all that.
But I think the fans deserve to hear that from her.
Really? In one of the Q&A's she did, she said she doesn't care that people make porn of her character; she said "that's just how some people show their appreciation for art" or something.
I don't know if this is useful information ,but Shima's channel was online a few hours ago. June 16 2019, I saw her channel was active for just a few minutes in the YouTube apps subscriptions. I wasn't able to take a screenshot so you have to take my word for it. At least there's some kind of proof that she is not dead.

The story I heard is that she had issues with anxiety and depression. I'm thinking that there was probably a lot of pressure with being a YouTuber and she stepped back because it was making them worse.
She's probably doing other things now, away from YouTube and the fanbase she created. I doubt she's passed away. Dolan has said she's safe and they would have announced something that big, not pretended it was a mystery.
What I've heard from unconfirmed sources, was that Dolan and a lot of the other crew were also bullying her a lot.
I do know that she's stated before in a video that while she's not a furry and has zero real interest in the fandom she's okay with furries. I've Also head that a lot of the porn of her character was sort of "comished" by Dolan, it's not the first time I've heard about Dolan being a creep.
Again these are purely unconfirmed reports and sources. For all I know she could of just wanted to live her life quietly. I don't blame her, while she always seemed happy, it was also like once the video was done she was done.
Like I don't think she was super into the fame Planet Dolan brought, like a lot of people said she was a very shy, bookish girl and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if she already had issues with depression and axienty as well as some self esteem issues. I dont remember when or what video but I do remember either Dolan or Hellbent saying she was extremely shy and self conscious about a lot. Including the character that represented her. And had just decided to go of the internet. I think this was back in like mid 2017. They explained she was fine though they didn't talk much.
Haven't watched their videos on forever, became a bit too samey for me but hope they meant what they said.
