In a desperate attempt to revive her career and to make herself relevant to a dwindling fan base (but most importantly... to make money), Dana Plato made several goes in softcore pornography movies, namely Prime Suspect in 1998 and Compelling Evidence in 1995 in which she appeared partially nude. But the actress's most lascivious appearance was in 1997's X-rated Different Strokes: The Story of Jack and Jill...and Jill in which she played a lesbian.
The Diff'rent Strokes actress would see her career continue to spiral downward however with an appearance in only one more film, and following the birth of her child, she got breast implants and did a photo session in June of 1989 with Playboy Magazine. Dana Michelle Plato (November 7, 1964 – May 8, 1999) was an American actress, notable for playing the role of Kimberly Drummond on the U.S. television sitcom Diff'rent Strokes from 1978 to 1986. After leaving the cast of Diff'rent Strokes, Plato attempted to establish herself as a working actress, with mixed success: she worked sporadically in made-for-TV movies and in independent films, and also did voice-over work. At age 34, after years of struggling with poverty and substance abuse, Plato died from an overdose of prescription drugs.
