• The U.S.-Iran escalation widened with a third round of American strikes on about 140 military targets in Iran, including radar sites, missiles, drones, naval capabilities, ammunition depots, communications networks and coastal surveillance positions. Tehran replied with missiles and drones against ships in the Sea of Oman and targets in Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan and Qatar, while Iran raised the toll to 14 dead and 78 wounded and confirmed 8 losses in its air force and navy.
• CENTCOM said more than 300 targets were hit over three nights of strikes and warned the campaign could last days or weeks. Bloomberg reported that ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz came to a complete halt, while two U.S. aircraft carriers operated in the Sea of Oman near the crisis zone and Oman proposed splitting the shipping lanes into two routes, a southern one without restrictions and a northern one requiring prior Iranian authorization.
• In the Gulf, Iran announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and said it would remain shut until U.S. military intervention ends, while Iranian media reported attacks in several regional countries and naval mines in the Omani-designated corridor. Jordan confirmed that three missiles from Iran landed on its territory without casualties, Kuwait reported attacks on border posts and an oil platform with one injured worker, and Qatar temporarily suspended navigation and all maritime activity.
• At the NATO summit, Donald Trump attacked Spain, calling it a “terrible partner” and “a lost cause,” and repeated that he does not want to do business with the country. He also said the ceasefire with Iran is over and suggested a “big” strike on Tehran, while Pedro Sánchez later described their conversation as cordial and focused on football.
• Fighting continued in Anéfis, Mali, between the Malian army and the Russian African Corps on one side, and Tuareg fighters from the Azawad Liberation Front together with JNIM on the other. A second convoy left Gao to reinforce and supply the area, but attacks on that column and airstrikes on rebel vehicles and groups continued, with greater air support from drones and aviation.
