With bdsm romance, it's bit tricky. As a reader I feel bored if it's too much. Feel less adequate if it's just in the backgroud. But one thing always come with reading bdsm, there's always something new to learn. Beau is trainer. A teacher of some short if I must say. A daddy dom to many little in a club that special in age play kinks. Delia is a happy bride to be until her fiancee died in freak accident when a stray bullet hit him out of no where. Now, about this book. I understand the need of background story, but I think it's 30% ish until Delia and Beau first meet, for me it just take too long. Considering this book said it's stand-alone, I say that long of background story from Delia's POV is just too long. But when it come to her grieve period? The author feel like doesn't think it's important. This part was skipped like woosh. Making me feel like Dalia doesn't have much time to grieve. Feel rush in from the story line. And from Beau POV. He's a dom with multiply little sub. One thing I (thought) I understand from a dom and sub relationship is their connection is hard to establish. That's why I thought it would always monogamous. But Beau being a dom in a club and he said it him self he can't be monogamist, it kinda bleh moment for me. I mean, to be a sub and dom require lots of trust and definitly makes you feel "mine mine mine" so how can you share that with multiply people? Maybe it's just me, but this part with Beau is just doesn't sit right with me. But I love Daddy Beau. The way he care for his sub. It's something every girl need from her man in real life.
I really loved this book. It was sensitive about several subjects and very multidimensional. The characters were interesting and I cared about them. This book made me smile and sniffle. The only issue I have is how abruptly it ends. I feel like I've read half of a book. I want the rest!
The connection was already there when they met. I loved how it started out and somewhat ended. I was wondering about this at first. This is a good read.
So hot and steamy. Absolutely love the story behind it and totally got lost in it. Can’t wait for the next one.
What a beautifully written book, I absolutely loved it for many reasons. It has the perfect balance between the characters with enough love & tenderness to steamy scenes as well. Will definitely read the other books listed as SJ is a new found author for me :)
This is a well written, extremely frustrating story. The characters are well developed and fairly relatable. However, why did I spend any amount of time reading about two people starting a relationship to have it end without any definition of the relationship other than he isn't monogamous? It really bothers me that there is zero closure.
I love the book, however I wish it had more to the ending of the story. Other than it's a good read.
Very good book but much too short. It was like she ran out of time, there was so much more she could have added. Hopefully there will be another book with Delia and Beau in it

I
caught them with trembling hands, and lathered the soap between my
palms before rubbing it over my chest and shoulders. Everything else
was hidden under the water, and I didn't want to expose myself with
him watching me like that. He looked hungry, and cruel.
The
soap smelled sweet and floral, strong enough to make me sneeze, but
it was the only gentle thing I had in this nightmare. Slowly, I drew
the cloth across my shoulders, and the guard glared at me.
"You're
wasting time. If you're not going to do it properly, I'll do it
myself."
Snatching
the cloth and soap back from me, he sat on the edge of the bath,
grabbing my hair to drag me upright. I scrambled to cover my breasts
again as my top half was exposed, out of the water.
"Look
at me, girl." He gave my hair a sharp tug, and I dragged my gaze
up to meet his. "They're going to sell you off to the highest
bidder, like livestock. Being shy won't save you."
"I

grip in my hair tightened and I winced, stifling a tiny sob of
terror. "You're a worthless runaway bitch, just like the rest of

I
forced my hands back into the water, exposing my breasts for him to
see. He was right: my family had no idea where I was. I hadn't spoken
to them in over two years, since I left home at eighteen. Would they
