Trigger and Trigger Warning

Trigger and Trigger Warning

Depression, Anxiety and OCD

This is a support group and as such, we deal with sensitive subject matters from time to time, some of which can be very difficult to read and write about. We don't want to discourage anyone from expressing themselves, therefore it would be appreciated if group members start using the TW/CW (trigger warning/content warning) accordingly or if needed to avoid any kind of dispute and unease among other members

Tigger is something that affects your emotional state, often significantly by causing extreme overwhelm or distress.

And why is it necessary to use tw/cw warnings?

-There are lot of reasons, but it comes down to emotional safety and comfort.

-With warnings people can feel better prepared about the text/content or chose to forego the text/content.

-Trigger warning/content warning ensure that people are not suddenly confronted with triggers that may render them unable to focus and severally affect their state of mind.

It's MANDATORY for everyone to highlight "Trigger warning" In caps while making a [statement/vent/rant/advice/request] which involve

2.Add the keywords clearly, without censoring (make these clear enough so people know what to expect, but without being too descriptive that it itself can trigger a reaction):

Example

Content warning (nudity)

or

Trigger warning (sexual violence)

3. Leave some space

4. Add the content/statement/vent/rant/advice/request.
