Adding my two cents about the packaging and marking of these strings being problematic. While I don't mind the strings being wrapped together, the colors painted on them is nearly impossible to distinguish. Red was the only one I was clear on. Had to get a magnifying glass and compare the sizes to be sure what I was doing. As for sound, they're definitely not as loud as whatever I was using before. Probably the EJ etc. others are talking about. These don't seem to sound as distinct as the former strings. Price point makes them okay, but after going through the two sets I bought, I'll definitely change. I think.

They are cheaper than the Pro Arte's but are of significantly lower quality yo my ear. I mean they will get you buy but lack the same tone, punch and sustain as the Pro Arte strings. This set also was not properly packaged as I had to measure the thickness of each string while installing as there was a total lack of 8dentification on the strings. No color tabs or position lables

I found this guitar leaned up against a dumpster in an apartment complex. It had steel strings on it, broken plastic saddle and wooden bridge also both cracked. The nut was plastic and cracked. One of the tuning pegs was snapped off and either side of tuning pegs was mismatched. I took some measurements, added some 5 minute epoxy to the cracks in the bridge, bone hand-filed nut and saddle from blanks (odd size guitar parts on this particular model), and new tuner keys.. and for $40 had a "free" nylon string guitar. Sounds great 👍 thanks Amazon for all the cheap parts to take this piece of trash and make it a musical instrument again. These strings are much better for this guitar than the steel strings that were on it. I have my "good guitars" I play on Gibson Les Paul and a Martin acoustic usually , but this is my new favorite. I affectionately call the "dumpster guitar." Folks, don't throw these things away they're not trash! Ok, sometimes they are! Thanks to the stranger that leaned it against the dumpster instead of throwing it in!

New Life on an Old Guitar

I bought these to resurrect my first ever guitar, a nylon strung student model which, according to its label, is a B&M Clasico, and which has been languishing unloved in the loft for the last 27 years. The strings were easy to fit and, apart from the G string, stayed in tune after a couple of stretches and retunes - although I suspect the issues had more to do with the rudimentary construction of the guitar than any problem with the string itself. They breathed new life into a neglected instrument, sounding round and full on the lower strings and sweet on the top three. The brand has a high reputation for all types of guitar strings, electric, acoustic and classical, and this set is proof that it is well-deserved.

Disappointed from a well known name

Steel strings on my daughter's acoustic guitar hurt her fingers so I restrung it with these half nylon set from a reputable maker. There are cheaper ones, and dearer ones so I though these mid-priced ones would be alright. They did not arrive with end loops as I expected, just bare ends. After tuning every day for two weeks, they still stretch and the top E note is forever nearer a C# or D. Spend more!

Put these strings on. I tightened them up slowly but didn’t tune up. Left them overnight and tuned them the next day. Left for a while as I know they will slip out of tune so left them for an hr or so. Was watching tv when I heard a snap. The high E went. Very annoying. Have to be rubbish!

It might be that my old strings were so worn out that I had forgotten what my guitar should sound like, but these strings made an instant difference. They have a bright and clear sound with more warmth than I was expecting at this price. It took about 36 hours for the tuning to settle. The only slight gripe was that the colour coding on the clear strings was very faint, so I had to go by their thickness instead. Not a problem, but it just meant a little bit more effort!
