AMÉ ESTE ARTÍCULO, MI GUITARRA YAMAHA C70 SUENA GENIAAAL

Style: Hard Tension Size: 1-Pack Verified Purchase

I am a teacher and player by trade. I have tried most major brands, including the bigger brother of these strings, the ProArte strings. I have found that most strings in the $15-25 range are roughly equivalent, and that all the under $5 strings I have tried were garbage. I saw this at just over $5 and was intrigued. Are they worth it? Yes. Are they just as good as the $15 ones? No. Pros: Warmer, mid focused tone. Less squeak Stays tied, stabilized and stretched quickly Very affordable Fast feeling flat/satin finish Cons: No complexity, lacking lows and highs Reduced sustain Less projection Unlikely to last long I assumed that they were D'addario, and would be somewhat close to the ProArte, but I was wrong. I don't dislike them enough to take them back off, but I probably won't buy another set. They would be fine for laminate top instruments where you're not really expecting a ton of sustain. On my entry level solid top takamine, the sustain is half of what it was. If you're looking for an affordable way to avoid string squeak, this is actually not a bad choice. The squeak is also half of what it was, and nothing under $50 is as quiet. I know some reviewers are complaining that the strings aren't marked, but I didn't have that problem. There's a paint ring about an inch from one end on every string but the 6th.

Put em on my yamaha g 231 ii classical guitar

Style: Normal Tension Size: 3-Pack Verified Purchase

Not Beginner-friendly packaging! DO NOT BUY EJ27N-3D if you've never restrung a classical, before! Having purchased classical nylon strings from D'Addario prior, I didn't think this would be a no-brainer and great value for a 3-pack. I've recently gifted my beginner classical guitar and provided them with a 3-pack of, what I thought would be easier for a beginner player, EJ27N-3D strings (see images). When it came time to restring, I was advised that the person I gifted my guitar to was not able to despite their proclivity to self-resolve amany matters before,... I took this as an odd statement and advised they look on the box (which then sealed strings do recommend) for guidance. Having used D-Addarios before, I simply stated that the strings should be labeled and you sting by thickest to thin "EADGBe" which they promptly responded, "they're color coded and there isn't anything on the box,..." [that was remotely helpful] unless once has a caliper,... I found it remarkable odd that D'Addario would market beginner strings and make it hard for beginners so I took a look at that,... Lo-and-behold: it's literally a cartoned box, string measurements on the side, no indicator of colors and thr strings are color coded with NO STICKERS regarding the gauge. What's worse, for beginners, is they decided to package nylons against the silver plated strings so E (silver plated; S) was with D (nylon; N), B (S) was with A (N) & G (S) was with e (N). My experience with D'Addario was they individually tagged a string and never intertwined them. My only thinking behind this is it's cheaper to sell the strings in this manner. There's a lack of documentation with these which, understandably, would frustrate a beginner. I've since restrung my guitar with them, these are less tension than Im used to, but I fear these may require frequent retuning,... which- for a beginner may not be that bad; they're learning after all, but I can anticipate transitioning away from these strings relatively soon. I while they're relatively inexpensive, I would not recommend buying these for beginners unless the packaging has very clear directions is addrssed. This review is of January 2021. Please see the attached images.

I bought the normal tension1/2 strings for my Guitalele. They're okay but the 6th, 5th and 4th string don't have the right amount of tension. I have read I needed higher tension for a Guitarlele so I will be trying the Hard Tension strings next. The G string was a little thick and I had to file the nut down just a little. As far as the strings themselves, they arrived in good condition and sound fine. The 3 silver plated strings are colored coded, the nylon strings are not. Some people seem to be having some difficulty figuring this out. So here's some help... The thickest silver plated string goes first from E, A to D. Then the thickest to thinnest nylon strings go from G- B- E. Hope this helped anyone who had trouble figuring this out.

Years back, any guitar string manufacturer would put either each string labeled separate on a envelope or a small tag indicating which one it is. Now you have to be an engineer to know what they meant by thicknes and other jargon. Very futrating to an amateur or student of the instrument. What happened to our american ways?????

Style: Normal Tension Size: 3-Pack Verified Purchase

I bought 3 boxes of normal tension (total of 9 sers). I retune the guitar each time of playing and the 4th (D) string seems not very well made and broken (4 times already). My other guitars have been restrung and have not been played, so I don’t know if the same thing would have happened . I don’t know if I got the defective ones or just the way it is.

The 4th (D) string’s strength is in question.

HARD TENSION!!!

Style: Hard Tension Size: 1-Pack Verified Purchase

I'm a big fan of hard tension strings on classical guitars, as I am not really a classical player. They're brighter, louder and definitely stiffer, depending on what kind of guitar you've got. I put some on a cheap fifty quid Stagg and they totally transformed it from a muffled plonker into a clanking war machine! Having just swapped the original strings from a Yamaha C40 to these, I can say once again that it is transformed. The whole guitar sounds brighter and livelier and the intonation is spot on. Hard strings rock! oo00OOO00oo Classical strings can be a pain to put on, but if you're having trouble, use a small pair of needle-nose pliers to tie a tiny knot in the end of the nylon strings before you take them back over the bridge, wind them round and tuck them under. Then they will not slip. As for the other end, make sure you have a straight run from the centre of the barrels down to the nut and you will be OK. Use the whole string and do not cut any off, so you will wind on 100 - 120 times each. You can trim them after they've settled down, if you need to, but use a small pair of wire cutters, not nail clippers or scissors.

CRUSHED NYLON STRING. AVOID

Style: Normal Tension, 3/4 Size: 1-Pack Verified Purchase

New strings... Re-strung the guitar to find whilst tuning that the B String was all crushed and had indents from the metal wound A string. BUY CHEAP BUY TWICE as they say. I would return but not after spending an hour re stringing. AVOID. Amazon packaging was not crushed so this is a product packaging problem.

Need to tune many many times after replacing but ok

Style: Normal Tension, 3/4 Size: 1-Pack Verified Purchase

For those who has concerns of understanding different strings plz check the photos, these are what I got. Although not each one is coloured as described, you won’t be confused as clear nylon and sliver on nylon are easy to tell and you will sort it out quickly.

I'd normally recommend daddario for steel string guitars but their nylon strings are awful. Not only does it not come with a colour chart to let you know which string is which (you just have to guess that apparently) but one of my strings was chipped and due to most of the strings being on the guitar - could not get a replacement free of charge. Very expensive and a waste of money

Not very good

Style: Normal Tension, 3/4 Size: 1-Pack Verified Purchase

All strings in one bag, not individually wrapped. No colour coding as suggested on packaging. Not particularly good strings either. I would not recommend these one bit.
