I recently read an article where it is written that: The Czech Republic became a “porno paradise” just shortly after the Velvet Revolution, and this status has lasted for more than a decade.
It is also stated that Despite possessing slightly over 10.5 million inhabitants (about 0.14% of the world population), the Czech Republic is the third nation in the world in the number of porn stars behind only the United States and Russia. In fact, 12.88% of the world total of adult film stars comes from Bohemia and Moravia.

My question would be: how do Czech people and particularly men for example feel and think about that so many of your Czech women are involved in this industry?

Nobody gives a shit. The unspoken Czech national motto is 'you leave me alone, I leave you alone'. I can't imagine giving a single fuck about our country being famous for porn, or caring about the women who do it. Nobody talks about it, and unless you're into porn you wouldn't even know it because it's not publicized.
But who cares? We're already famous for pretty shallow, unimportant shit like beer and hockey - why would this be any different? Porn exists, the industry sucks, if someone wants to do it, that's their prerogative.
Also, 'so many' women involved in the industry? Dude, it's not that big. It's not like we're tripping over porn actresses on your way to work. Most people will not meet anyone who does (not 'admits to doing', but does ) porn in their life.

Hi, I am just IT guy. My first work as IT was as web developer in Czech company named W4B - Watch for beauty. Our workspace was, one kitchen, with split as dresser room, big photoshoot room and office room. At beginning I went to the kitchen to make some tea for me, and the kitchen was full of 12 hot naked chicks - for calendar shooting. I was about "Hi I-I-I-I am just going to make some tea". I experienced this adult industry from under the hood view little bit. It is all about women who like sex(not just sex, but lets say, woman who wants to make money with their bodies) and wants to do lot of it and for money, this woman are over the whole world, and it is similar percentage in population. But in CZ they choose the porn, instead of other kind of practicing it. I can compare with other countries. Most percentage of women who wants to practicing it are in Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Thailand... In Germany there are much more percentage of girls who working in adult industry, but they are not doing it under the professional production but as amateurs on amateurs sites/mediums, and in Germany, there are very popular(locally) some kind of swinger parties and another fetish events (still part of adult industry). So they are not in this statistics. In LATAM (I spent about one year there), they has their carnivals and music what is all about the sex. And interesting thing, in USA/Russia and Czech republic you can have lot of pornstars as hooker. On other side in other countries girls prefer being just hookers than porn actresses. So this statistics are focusing on just specific part of adult industry. But I would be interested for some more complex statistics about adult industry. It is not about just porn at all.

First, I doubt anything Praguemorning would publish. The numbers there would need to be supported by serious research but it is one of the regular Czech trashing by foreigners who dislike living in Czechia. The Velvet Revolution was nearly 32 years ago and many porn actors from that era are pushing 50 or more. Nobody cares about it anymore.
They are not our women, they are their own women. We are civilised country. They are not anyone’s property. Their career choice is nobody’s business, especially not some random men’s.
What I think is that this business can be sometimes exploitative as we saw in some recently uncovered cases and things like that shouldn’t happen to anyone.

Not sure about English but in Czech we could say for example "our footballers", "our politicians" or "our men" without anyone derailing the discussion pretending we claim some ownership. This should not be different with women.

Adult industry in today's times is in many aspects far from innocent and harmless. Many of these girls are abused and exploited.
Yes, they are in many cases exploitative, I think this is obvious.
If I may ask you: you wouldn't mind if your sister and mother would "perform" in those kind of videos? When I say your "own" women I wasn't talking about owning someone but someone you hold dear.
Nothing to be proud of as a nation, but neither something to be too much worried about. It's probably better than full prostitution, as in porn there is probably more focus on preventing STD.

This is one of those things that make us successful and famous around the world, but most people here don’t know about it. We don’t talk, or mention our porn industry in the media, in the news, and I think people don’t even talk about it when they have a conversation. It’s a sort of “under the radar” business for Czechs. Same applies to CZ guns I suppose.
