Дорогой читатель, здравствуй! Недавно со мной произошёл интересный случай, которым хотелось бы поделиться. Началось всё с того, что, в поисках смыслов и вдохновения, я обратился к творчеству Александра Сергеевича Пушкина. И одним из прочтённых и перепрочтённых произведений стала ода «Вольность».
Кто же такая Цитера, спросит дорогой читатель? Этим вопросом задался и я, предварительно предположив, что речь идёт об Афродите. А отсылки к античной мифологии действуют на меня, как красная тряпка на быка.
Памяти доверяй, но проверяй. Конечно же я отправился уточнять свои предположения на просторах интернета, что было, в некотором смысле, ошибкой.
Впрочем, ничего страшного. Псевдоним актрисы нас, «подобно Пушкину», отсылает обратно к древнегреческой мифологии. Память не подвела и Цитерия — одно из имён (эпиклеса) Афродиты.
Китира, Цитера, Киферы (Cythera, Kythera, Kithira), транслитерация различается, — греческий остров, входящий в число Ионических островов. Эпиклес Афродиты — Цитерия — связан именно с ним. В тех окрестностях она родилась, а на острове был развит культ богини.
Так к чему же были первые строчки, которые отгоняют Цитерию (Афродиту) и призывают «Свободы гордую певицу» ?
Скорее всего, А. С. Пушкин противопоставляет лирическую и героическую поэзию, а также обозначает последующие темы произведения: власть и народ, свобода и бесчинство, защита гражданских прав, и тому подобные вещи.

Cytherea (born September 27, 1981) is an American pornographic actress and model. She is known for her ability to ejaculate (known as "squirting" in the adult industry ) while performing sex acts.
Cytherea took her stage name from the Greek goddess of love, beauty, and music . [4] [5] She originally had a Yahoo! fan group when she was recruited by an agent into the adult industry. Her video career started in 2003, [6] and she has performed in over 350 movies. Her first scene was with Tyce Bune for I've Never Done That Before 14 . Elegant Angel produced a series of movies featuring her dubbed as "Squirtwoman". [5] Cytherea performed her first anal scene in the movie Cytherea's Anal Whores in 2006. [6]
She won the Best New Starlet Award from AVN in 2005. Also that year she made her feature dancing debut in Charlotte, N.C. at The Gentlemen's Club. [7] Cytherea formed a production company called Cytherea Productions in 2004. [8]
In 2012, Cytherea signed with Ideal Image Management for representation, returning to performing after a brief stint in 2010–11 after a nearly four-year hiatus. [9]
In 2014, Cytherea announced her intentions to crowdfund her return to the adult industry. She stated that since retiring from the industry in 2005, she has been a stay-at-home-mother to her two children. She also stated that she has had plastic surgery done in order to prepare herself for her return. [10]
She has appeared on cable television shows, most notably the HBO / Cinemax series Sex Games: Vegas , Playboy TV's Night Calls and has been a guest on the Tom Leykis Show [5] and The Howard Stern Show . [4]
Cytherea also hosted an industry talk and interview radio show on KSEX in Los Angeles , California called Goddess of Gush . [11] According to her website, the show was cancelled in 2006 and Cytherea has toured as a feature dancer in the past. [ citation needed ]
She has also had minor roles in a variety of movies such as the thriller Tumbling After [12] and the comedy film Finishing the Game: The Search for a New Bruce Lee , [13] both in 2007, and the cable television series Sex Games Vegas in 2005. [14]
Cytherea was born in Salt Lake City , Utah . [4] She has two children [15] and self-identifies as bisexual . [16] She is a former Mormon . [1]
Cytherea's house was invaded and robbed in January 2015, which involved a sexual assault by three armed men. Police believed the house was selected at random. [17] Cytherea, her husband, and her two children were all home at the time. [18] [19]
She was married to Timothy Hale. Hale died at the age of 52 on November 2, 2016. [3]
