Cycling from Barybino to Peski

Matvey

I decided to ride this route prepared by experienced gravel cyclists. It goes along Severka river from Barybino to Peski train station on another line. I took the train from Paveletsky station in the morning to get to the start

The first 13 km was a good motor road with a great view of different kind of fields on both sides

The next 47 km was a mix of country roads and dusty bumpy paths, the major part of which was going across infinite wheat fields

This part was the most pleasing esthetically but a bit challenging physically, I was close to get bad blisters on my palms while riding on especially bumpy paths, but overall it was completely doable, I had to briefly get off my bike and walk just a few times, and one the the times it was to cross a hanging bridge

I also passed several herds of cows during the ride

I stopped by the river once for a lunch and to take a little break

The last 22 km was a motor road again so I could speed up again, but the view was not as spectacular as in the beginning

5 km before the finish I crossed Moscow river

The only time when I could not follow the route was in the very end: the road was blocked by creepy-looking barriers and 'QUARANTINE' written in red spray. As soon as I tried to cross the barriers I was forced out by the guard dogs and didn't even have a chance to take a picture and had to take another road

Anyway, I successfully finished the ride by the afternoon and made it right in time to get on an express train to Kazansky station
