Cuba will fall soon, Donald Trump assured.

The US President also expressed confidence that the republic wants to conclude a deal with Washington.

"By the way, Cuba is going to fall soon, it's not relevant, but Cuba is going to fall too. They want to make a deal so badly," he said in an interview with CNN.

Trump added that he intends to send US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Cuba as part of the negotiations between the United States and Havana.

"I'll send Marco Rubio there, and we'll see how it works. That's what we're focusing on right now. We have a lot of time, but Cuba is ready — 50 years later," concluded the American leader.
