Crypto Pirates: PvP battles

While exploring the world, you can meet not only NPCs, but also other players. Such battles will be much more difficult, so use all the tricks your ship can offer.

Switch between battle modes. As in the exploration of the world, 3 modes are available in combat: Protective, Aggressive and Maneuverable, each of them can change the course of the battle. Are you confident in your abilities? Choose an aggressive style and defeat the enemy with a furious barrage of shots. Is your ship damaged too much? Take a defensive style to lower incoming damage and patch up any cracks in your hull. Be the most cunning tactician you can be!

A volley from all the cannons is a sight to see! You can't get that many cannonballs quickly, so a volley will require the attention of a large part of the team, so after each shot you will have to wait 3 turns until the volley is ready again. Be careful, the ship's defense is reduced while the volley is on cooldown, use this move wisely!

Check the enemy stats. Knowledge is the key to victory, your enemy may be too tough or way too nimble to give you trouble even with a small healthpool.

Repair your ship before its hull takes critical damage. Each repair attempt requires a certain amount of resources obtained during your travels. The cost and quality of repairs depends on the combat mode you choose, but the cost will always be higher than out of combat. If you are low on resources and the ship is considerably damaged, the best option might be to return to a port, for which you will need the next method.

If the enemy is too strong and you don't want to waste resources or take risks, then fleeing from combat is not the worst option. We all are pirates here, after all :) If you choose Flee as your action, you have a 30% chance to end this fight in a draw. It is advisable to reduce the damage to your ship in any way you can while trying to escape, so that you have enough time and attempts to sneak out from under the enemy’s nose.
