My husband, Paul really gets a kick out of teasing me for peeing like a girl. We were recently out in in the woods and I pulled down my shorts and panties to my knees and squatted to pee. It would have probably been easier to do it like a boy , but I wasnt even thinking about it Girlish ness is becoming more like second nature. I have not peed like a boy for over 2 years now. You are the person I was looking for with this discussion. I or Paul have talked a bit about this with some of our other friends. So many of them think that it is silly for me to squat when I am equipped to do it while standing. I'm not just talking about sitting on the toilet. It was quite the trick for me to learn to pee squatting with out either falling on my butt, peeing on my shoes or clothes or stretching out my panties. To me it is one of those things that is just really a girl thing. My whole transition thing has been wrapped around being more and more like a girl. The girlish mannerisms are one of the best ways for me to feel comfortable with the role that I have taken in life.

You mention your whole "transition thing" and that might be where I differ from most. I identify myself as a part time cross-dresser. I dress on average about 3 days a month the rest of the time I fit quite well in society as a man. As a cross-dresser I have no desire to become a genetic woman, hence I am not seeing a doctor to alter my body. When I do dress I do it to the best of my ability; body hair shaved, clothes, wig, make-up, shoes, jewelry, purse if going out, etc.

I take a lot of pictures and post some of them, vanity?...... probably. When I do go out publicly it is usually to a CD friendly bar close to where I live. I and all the other CDs and woman if there are any there use the ladies room. When I go into the stall as many of us CDs will do during the course of the night I stand to pee as do the other CDs that I know. Most have been doing this a lot longer than me. These are cross-dressers that have been going out for years that put great efforts into their appearance and social actions.

I am not trying to say there is a right way or a wrong way. Transition can mean to alter ones physical appearance for a night as I do or to try to be a woman 100% of the time which others do. I guess what I am saying is if I wanted to transition into a woman how I pee would be pretty far down the list of things I would worry about.

My intent is not to piss anyone off. I responded only because I thought you were asking me to reply.

Thanks for your explanation and your initial reply didn't upset me at all...if you were referring to me. Makes sense what you said in reply and I understand. I started out sitting similarly to bobbiega....bothered the now ex wife and I just got in the habit. I too am not transitioning into full time, though I do get the chance to dress and go out more than you indicated. I use the ladies room, but I sit...just my preference I guess.

Thank you for the thoughtful reply. You didn't piss me off all. I want some one to tell me their story . I am not looking for an argument but instead I want to know what is "normal" for people like us. It always amazes me the variety of responses to my posts. I am begining to see that we are not really a homogeneous group. Transition is such a loaded term. I don't use it in the same sense as a lot of TS girls. I am on hormones and I mostly like it. I will never go the next step. I will keep my male parts even as small as it is. My Transition is more about me being comfortable with my role in society. I am married to a man and I am in the role of the wife. I try to look feminine but it really doesn't come off well. My emotions bounce from an extreme that embraces dressing like a girl , to at times desperately trying to cover with male clothing. Because of my breasts I look more like a bull dike than a tranny. The breasts also mean that I wear a bra for the support and the panties because I like them At first I used the clothes to cover up a shocking revelation about my sexuality. I think I still do, but I have added my girlish mannerisms to make me feel that I am in the right place in life rather than the wrong body or gender. Peeing like a girl is a touch stone that affirms me. I may be an ugly girl but it is better to me than being a gay boy.

For some reason I knew I would not piss you off because your question seemed so genuine.

In your last post you say you want to know what is "normal" for people like us. I think you answered the question for all of us much better than I could with the sentences that follow your initial question. We (I'll assume you mean cross-dressers) are not a homogeneous group, in many ways some of us are similar and in many ways we are totally different. Whereas you look to transitioning to be more comfortable I look to dressing as a part-time diversion to what I am in society 90% of the time. I enjoy my life as a man very much but I also enjoy the dressing a few times a month. There are others I know that are miserable when dressed as a man and that is a life I do not envy.

I have only been doing this a little more than 5 years but jumped in with both feet when I did start. In the last few years I have spoken with many CDs about why we do it, likes we have, dislikes, etc. As much experience as many of theses CDs have when I find I learn the most is when I speak to someone who knows nothing about it. Let me explain that thought.

Occasionally I will be contacted on a dating site or meet socially a man who is fascinated by us yet he is totally confused as to why he likes us. If the fellow is respectful I will chat with him and answer his questions. Eventually the questions will lead lead to "Do all cross-dressers like X?" or "Do all cross-dressers think Y?" When trying to answer these questions I find myself explaining there are differences between all of us. Somehow that allows me to understand myself and realize I am happy with how I am.

Sorry to ramble but you got me thinking.

I prefer to sit whatever gender I am at the time.
I really hate the open urinals in pubs / restaurants etc.Only use them if the cubicles are not available,but I try to hold of until one is free .I clean the seat beforehand too .
There is no right or wrong way for this particular function. Society dictates most opinions on these matters anyway.That`s why there are so many urinals in male toilets.
Unlike sex we only have 2 choices in how we pee,but the end goal is to release fluid in both situations !!

Need to go now .I need a pee !!

I will sit in a mainstream venue ladies room as in restaurants movies clubs supermarket etc. in an alternative venue it's a coin toss without regard to which gender marker the restroom has. It used to matter but over time it varied on mood and what I was wearing. The one upside to alternative venue is there's no issue with going in the restroom with the shortest line.

From the time I was 4 or 5, I was made to sit down when I peed. It became 2nd nature for me and I wouldn't even think about not siting down to pee. Since then, I may have stood up 2 or 3 times.
