I had this in my library for so long, and finally got around to it and couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed the characters featured within. Also appreciated the realistic look at what depression is like.

I actually just played and finished it earlier today, and very much enjoyed that one too.
Getting to the true ending became progressively more rewarding. I liked the game from the start and loved it by its end.

This game was a complete story at launch, so it doesn't really have regular updates. If you want more of the characters, there's a second game subtitled Dusk and Dawn.
Sierra if you want me to be completely honest, I don't know why but this series has latched onto me so firmly. I'm wildly in love with the characters and the plot and everything about it. The way you have formulated this visual novel is absolutely remarkable and I promise it will be a staple in my memory for a very long time to come. I never really was interested in romance apart from the odd shows or animes I would watch, but this series doesn't get enough love. This is my 4th time watching this series over the course of the 5 years I've known it and I'm just as absorbed as I was 5 years ago. I really can't express how much Passion and love I have for the series and I really, really do hope that you continue the story to where Lizzie and John could start a family or destroy KoiTec once and for all. It's been a pleasure to experience this content and I hope you inspire many other game creators. Thank you so much.

Is there any additional plot in the NSFW version or is it just sex scenes?
Mostly just the sex scenes; they exist where they do in the normal VN, the NSFW version just doesn't fade to black. There's arguably some content within the scenes, but it's not an expanded version by any means.

Thanks for the kind words! I have more stories in mind for Lizzie and John, but I'm afraid I can't promise whether or not I'll be able to make them. Since this is my career, I have to be careful about taking on new projects.
The plan for the third game would feature the two of them navigating life as a married couple and the changing social environment due to the events of Dusk and Dawn. Lizzie has deep reservations about having children, and though they would exist in the hypothetical fourth game, she would need time to process the ways in which people can matter to her.
Crimson Gray was the game that introduced me to the rest of your work, but I know that developing longer projects like the potential Crimson Gray series could be a bit of a risk. I would love to see more and just wanted to express my appreciation for the two so far.

This is a pretty reliable site, so I wouldn't imagine that would be a problem. The game is also available on Steam and other platforms, if you prefer that.
I'm not generally interested in visual novels, but I really enjoyed this. There were some really good details and it was very immersive! I might start looking into other visual novels because of this one ^_^
Hands down one of the BEST VNs I have ever played, rivaling the likes of Majikoi, even in such a short burst.

What you say about Steam is correct, but the situation is a little tricky because the game was accepted under the old system. Given how inconsistently Valve has acted at times, I'm reluctant to test them on this. All future games will go up uncensored, though!
I've confirmed with other (NSFW) game devs that Steam current guidelines/allowances are retroactive; even if games were previously rejected for content they are now openly permitted.
At worst, you could contact Steam Support and ask :)

okok So I actually bought this on Steam literally after the demo. That's a first for me. I have no words - though I managed to leave a review on your Steam storepage. I feel strongly against asking this openly, but welp I saw no info on it at a second glance. Well, at least this Linux version should work smoothly for you if you decide to get it later! Ren'py supports Linux much better than MV.
Just finished the game on Linux and it worked great. I've never had any issues with Ren'py games in the past.

I downloaded the patch from The Last Sovereign, and then I downloaded the file and added it. What else do I need to do? It looks like this in the steam file: Crimson Gray.app Game Lib Renpy Crimson Gray Patch - Steam (this is the downloaded file) Crimson Gray Crimson Gray.py Crimson Gray.sh Log README Steam_appid

Open the "Game" folder and move everything in the patch file in there. You'll know you've done it right if two files are overwritten. If you run into anything else, check the Instructions.txt file in the patch.

Something to add I downloaded the patch under WinRAR

Ok so I tried to do it correctly the "game" folder has this inside: Audio Cache Saves SFX archive crimson gray patch - steam (downloaded content) gallocked icon icon nsfw nsfwop options.rpy options.rpyc ralewayRegular screens.rpy screens.rpyc script.rpy script.rpyc script_version I just dont see in-game opitions where it would show adult contents activated Also something to note I was trying to open nsfw like a dummy and tried to open with paint and now the icons for nsfw, nsfwop, and archive are the paint icon though file is still RPA
