Wow. Something about the realistic Geodude is incredibly off-putting. The two arms which can double as legs? The creepy rock eyes and mouth? Take your pick. Thankfully, Geodude doesn't seem to be a very malicious Pokémon, but it is said to relentlessly pursue people who accidentally step on it (it's often mistaken for a simple rock).

That is why 90% of the creepy/realistic pokemon art type stuff looks so off is because of people treating the flat coloring as an indication that pokemon just have colored skin instead of it being simplified fur.
"Realistic" pokemon would look as intended by the original animators. It's like drawing a grossly deformed human and calling it a realistic trainer, it doesn't work.

Ghastly, Haunter, and Gengar all have an urge to lick other Pokémon, as well as trainers, in the hopes of paralyzing them. It would be creepy if anyone went around trying to lick strangers, but the fact that these sneaky ghosts are going around licking people means that they should be avoided at all costs.
