Creative biography of the art director of the choir Yuliia Ivanova

Yuliia Ivanova graduated from the I. P. Kotlyarevsky Kharkov National University of Arts in 1989. She has been an Art Director of the children’s choir «Скворушка» of the Kharkov Region Palace of Children’s and Youthful Art since 1990. 

In 2001 she successfully earned her candidat science (PhD) work: «Дитяча хорова культура Харківщини останньої третини ХХ ст.» (“Children choir tradition in Kharkov region in the last third of the XX century”). 

Y. Ivanova is an Associate Professor of the choral conducting and classical singing department in Kharkov State Academy of Culture at the moment. She has a lot of results in science, a group of publications and methodic works.

She has such awards as:

- Excellence in Public Education USSR (1992) («Відмінник народної освіти УРСР»); 

- Breastplate «Софія Русова» from Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2006);

- A recipient of the Borys Hmyria Art Prize (2009);

- Certificate of Merit from Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2005; 2009);

- Diploma from the Directorate General of Kharkov region (2002, 2005);

- Appreciation from the Mayor of Kharkov (2005);

- Certificate of Merit from the Kharkov Region State Administration (2015);

- I degree diploma from the Directorate General for Education and Science of Kharkov region (2003)

Yuliia Ivanova also got numerous diplomas “for the Excellence in Art Performing” in choir competitions of different levels.
