Great comedy characters don�t just crack jokes � they hijack your brain. They walk into a scene with too much confidence, too little awareness, or the world�s most tragic backstory involving soup. The best ones feel real because they�re both exaggerated and specific: the guy who treats karaoke like court testimony, the woman who thinks horoscopes are job qualifications. Give them a voice, a flaw, a wardrobe choice that screams �my trauma is color-coded.� If someone can impersonate your character with one phrase, you�ve nailed it.
