Once in the ER, I arrest again. Doctors and nurses urgently try to revive me. Deep chest compressions, defibrillations and drugs are administered but my weak heart can’t handle this kind of stress and so time of Death is called.
It’s a beautiful Saturday night and my boyfriend Andrew and I are in my car, celebrating his graduation in med school. We are so happy, but happiness ends quickly because we are involved in a bad car accident.

Knowing there’s no other time to lose, he begins compressions when he’s sure there’s no heartbeat. He mentally counts untile 30, delivering hard and deep compressions to keep the blood flowing and to oxygenate brain.
After one round of compressions, he looks again for a pulse.

As he’s doing compressions, the ambulance arrive. They attach to her a pulse oximeter and a sphygmomanometer to check blood pressure.
«No BP, O2 levels are low, we have to intubate her»
