Some sex positions require more effort from one partner than the other. The reverse cowgirl, a variation of the cowgirl position, is one example. The partner on top has most of the control and does most of the moving, while the partner on the bottom lies on their back.
References to the reverse cowgirl position can be found as far back in history as the Kama Sutra , a 2,300-year-old Hindu text that included descriptions of hundreds of sexual positions. In the ancient text, reverse cowgirl is known as The Tigress.
In reverse cowgirl, the person receiving penetration sits on top of their partner, but instead of sitting face-to-face, they face away toward their partner’s feet. The person on top can control the pace, rhythm, and depth of penetration.
Once in position, the partner on top can try a number of variations to the beginning sitting position: 
One partner sits on top of the other in both positions. However, in cowgirl, the person on top is facing forward towards their partner’s head, while in reverse cowgirl they are turned in the opposite direction, toward their partner’s feet. 
Reverse Cowgirl Is Only for Heterosexual Couples 
This position can easily be achieved by two men with anal intercourse or by two women where the bottom partner wears a strap-on dildo. The positions and motions are the same for all couples.
