You are here: Home / 221(g) - Application Pending Further Action / 221(g) Submission Process
The U.S. Embassy/Consulate may give you a 221(g) letter directing you to submit additional documents or information related to your visa application. Your application will be kept on hold at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate until you submit those documents.
All documents and information requested in a 221(g) letter should be submitted at the nearest LBC document collection office within one year from the date you received the 221(g) letter. Failure to submit the required information within one year will result in the suspension of your visa application. You will be required to submit a new visa application and pay all associated fees in order to continue with your visa application process.
Download and print a 221(g) submission slip . You must take this slip to the LBC document collection office when you drop-off your documents for delivery to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate.
Go to the nearest LBC document collection office . Take your 221(g) submission slip, the 221(g) letter given to you at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate, and all documents requested in your 221(g) letter.
Deliver your documents and the 221(g) submission slip to the LBC document collection office. LBC will give you a copy of your airway bill as a receipt for your documents.
LBC will deliver your documents to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate.
LBC will return your documents and your passport to you at your chosen document delivery address. If issued, your passport will contain your visa. You may also receive a new 221(g) letter.

The U.S. Department of State does not intervene or resolve applicant disputes with courier companies. If you believe you are the victim of a crime or there has been criminal activity by the courier company, please contact your local law enforcement office.

Courier companies, also known as “passport expeditors,” are private companies, some of which are allowed to submit passport applications on behalf of customers.
No. Some companies may appear to be part of the U.S. government because they use logos that look like official government seals. These companies are not part of the U.S government or government contractors and do not operate as a part of the U.S. Department of State.
No. All passport applications submitted by a courier company must be printed out and signed in ink. You must also submit original, physical documents to the U.S. Department of State.
No. Passport applications are available free-of-charge on the Passport Forms page . There is also no fee for making an appointment at a passport acceptance facility or one of our passport agencies or centers.
Not necessarily. However, we do advise that you practice due diligence by researching courier companies you plan to use since you will be sharing with them your most sensitive identification information and documents. In addition to standard consumer research, the Better Business Bureau and Chamber of Commerce may be helpful resources.

Hi all, my representative just submitted my passport last Thursday, and he told me to wait patiently for 1 month.

So, does anyone aware the estimated timeline for stamping visa recent days, and especially, is there a way I can track the process?

If you sent the passport by a courier service which provides tracking information you can track your passport delivery. Post that you will be able to see approval in your account in about a week when your passport gets delivered.

After that you can again track your passport based on the return tracking you used.

It shouldn’t take a month.
