Mrs Jayashree Krishnan Convener, Cosplay 2021 & Senior Principal, CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I

Who says you can only dress up on Halloween? If Batman really matches your spirit, and you just can’t bear to keep him in the closet the whole year round, cosplay contests could be your thing.
Cosplay, a portmanteau of ‘costume play’, is an activity and performance art in which the participants, called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character.
Such events are a perfect opportunity to let the imagination soar. The term cosplay was coined in 1984 in Japan that blends the English words ‘costumed’ and ‘roleplay’. It has gained popularity in the past decade. The reason behind organizing a cosplay competition is to enhance the creativity and imagination of the children. We view it as an opportunity for the children to express themselves to the world. An interesting outcome of cosplay is the way it allows people to express their individuality and show off their unique craftsmanship. It’s also a great way for the kids to bond with each other.
Whom would your kids want to cosplay as? Let us know in COSPLAY 2021.
We are immensely happy that CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I is organizing COSPLAY International for giving students an opportunity to express themselves to the world.
When children pretend, they are using their imaginations to move beyond the bounds of reality...
Eating a ton of candy is only surpassed by the fun of dressing up as a goblin, a fighter, a ghost, or one of your favorite comic book, television, or movie characters. If you really love dressing up like your favorite fictional characters, there is no reason to limit your fun to Halloween. Welcome to the world of COSPLAY!...
Cosplay is an outward expression of passion, respect and love for your favourite movie, game, TV, anime or comic character. It is a live tribute to a persona, fictional or real, that had a massive impact on your mind and soul.
It is turning your wildest dreams into reality for a brief moment...
Art is an essential element of education that unlocks profound human understanding and accomplishment. Gone are the days when academic programmes were the only activities in schools and all students focussed on that. We at CMS, believe in maintaining a healthy balance between academics and extra-curricular activities,...
COSPLAY, literally speaking is the activity or practice of dressing up as a character from a work of fiction (such as a comic book, video game, or television show) but to us, Cosplay is expressions, an amalgamation of both talent and skill....

We are immensely happy that CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I is organizing COSPLAY International for giving students an opportunity to express themselves to the world.
When children pretend, they are using their imaginations to move beyond the bounds of reality. For them a stick can be a magic wand, a pencil box could become a mobile phone and a towel can become a cape. A small child can be a superhero and can let his imagination make him the most powerful person in the world. That is the power of the mind.
Everyone needs a superhero-a person who not only inspires but is also a role model to others. Comic book heroes, cyber comic characters, historical figures have always inspired children and adults for a very long time and since lasting impressions are formed in the sensitive and fecund minds of children right from the very beginning, we educators have the most important role to play in their social and moral development.
COSPLAY International will give students an opportunity to develop more self- confidence and allow them to feel a sense of community. They can give wings to their imagination and realize their dreams through role play. We are so very grateful to all of you for your selfless efforts which will, no doubt, leave an indelible mark on the children as the event will inspire them to follow their dreams and imaginations to achieve the greatest heights.
We heartily congratulate Mrs Jayashree Krishnan, Senior Principal of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I, for taking the initiative to organize this unique wonderful event, despite many challenges. I am confident that under her dynamic leadership, the event will become a grand success and write a new chapter in the achievements of CMS. Once again, we wish you all the success for this international event.
Eating a ton of candy is only surpassed by the fun of dressing up as a goblin, a fighter, a ghost, or one of your favorite comic book, television, or movie characters. If you really love dressing up like your favorite fictional characters, there is no reason to limit your fun to Halloween. Welcome to the world of COSPLAY!
Cosplay is a combination of the words "costume" and "play." Cosplayers do more than simply dress like their favorite characters. To express their creative side and show the depth of their fandom, they embody a character or a person whom they admire.
Besides being a fun activity, Cosplay will promote team-work, creativity and organizational skills in students. It also aims to promote mingling and meeting with people who share the same interests. When students meet like-minded individuals, they create a friendly and encouraging environment. As a result, they are able to interact much better socially. Such an activity also boosts personal self-confidence in students. It is also valuable for their social and academic success.
I am very happy to congratulate Mrs Jayashree Krishnan, Senior Principal of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I and her entire organising team for conceiving this unique and most interesting and entertaining event, and wish them all the best in this endeavour.
Cosplay is an outward expression of passion, respect and love for your favourite movie, game, TV, anime or comic character. It is a live tribute to a persona, fictional or real, that had a massive impact on your mind and soul.
It is turning your wildest dreams into reality for a brief moment. There are very few feelings in the world that equal being literally in your hero's shoes. It is pure empowerment.
The purpose of the Cosplay competition is to enhance the creativity and imagination of the children. It helps develop and strengthen the thinking abilities of the students to enhance their capabilities to learn, engage and to express themselves to the world.
An interesting outcome of cosplay is the way it allows people to express their individuality and show off their unique craftsmanship. It’s also a great way for the kids to bond with each other.
We wish all the best to the participants and extend my heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Mrs Jayashree Krishnan, Principal of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I and her dedicated staff for organizing this event.
With warm wishes for the success of the event.
Art is an essential element of education that unlocks profound human understanding and accomplishment. Gone are the days when academic programmes were the only activities in schools and all students focussed on that. We at CMS, believe in maintaining a healthy balance between academics and extra-curricular activities, which helps the students in their all-round development and provides them with a scope to explore the opportunities for social interaction. One such event is Cosplay International -2021.
It is an assertion of respect, tribute and love towards one’s favourite character which could be from a television show, a movie, a game or a book and an empowering moment for turning dreams into reality. The aim of ‘Cosplay’ is to portray a character, blending it with one’s own creative spin on it.
The event will provide a platform to the students to exhibit their creativity, develop organizational skills, and learn to collaborate by keeping up the spirit of team work. It will assist the students to showcase their talents and soar high in the sky with their wings of imagination. Sustained involvement in such activities help the students to build up their level of confidence, learn time management skills, highlight their talents and reflect their potential.
Thus, it is rightly said by Ken Robinson, “Creativity is as important now in education as literacy and we should treat it with the same status.”
I feel ecstatic to congratulate Mrs. Jayashree Krishnan, Senior Principal, CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus-I and her diligent and enthusiastic staff who had worked indefatigably for the success of the colossal event-Cosplay International 2021, which will create a broad framework for the students to imagine in their minds, believe with all their talents and achieve with all their might.
COSPLAY, literally speaking is the activity or practice of dressing up as a character from a work of fiction (such as a comic book, video game, or television show) but to us, Cosplay is expressions, an amalgamation of both talent and skill.
Cosplay 2021 aims to bring forth to life some of the best characters getting together and dressing up as their favourite superheroes, gaming characters or anime personas, resulting in stunning costumes with often incredible attention paid to detail.
Cosplay actually represents an act of embodiment and has been closely linked with the presentation of self. Cosplayers do more than simply dress like their favourite characters. They also behave and speak like their characters, sometimes acting out their favourite scenes to express their creative side.
So if you are aiming to regale us with your histrionics or creating an epic costume that looks a lot like the scales of a terrifying fire-breathing dragon, it all begins with registering yourselves for Cosplay 2021.
Looking forward to a spectacular display of colour, vibrancy and drama this year.
Get set with your capes and your spooky costumes. You may pack in a pair of dancing shoes as well. Use your magic wands to turn the audience into rabbits, rats or horses!
Set the stage on fire with the brilliance of your creative costumes and douse the flames with a bit of emotion and melodrama thrown in!
Looking forward to the stellar performances!
