These girls show us just how cool and sexy cosplay can be.
Now that geek culture and cosplaying have become more mainstream, cosplayers have become more than just anime and video game enthusiasts who dress up as their favourite characters. The very best cosplayers have become models, actors, TV presenters, and even recording artists. But who are the top female Asian cosplayers that you should be paying attention to?
Korean cosplayer Tomia takes cosplay seriously — she studied costume design with the aim of being a fashion designer. A former member of the popular female Asian cosplayers group Spiral Cats, Tomia also enjoys playing video games and tucking into a hearty serving of kimchi fried rice.
Vancouver-based Miyuki isn't just a prolific cosplayer — she studies diseases as a PhD candidate and is also a musician, citing video game composer Nobuo Uematsu as her personal idol. Check out her single "Kindred" here .
Vietnamese-American RinnieRiot is a Twitch live broadcasting gamer who gained popularity for her Overwatch and League of Legends streams and commentaries. Her Twitch streaming channel has over 80,000 followers.
Not afraid to show off her assets, her cosplays are usually quite sexy — much to the delight of her 134,000 followers on Instagram. (She has a secondary Instagram account dedicated to her cosplay, which has over 118,000 followers.)
Easily the most famous cosplayer in the Philippines, when Alodia Gosiengfiao isn't cosplaying, she works as a model, presenter, singer, actress, and celebrity endorser.
She's been voted into FHM 's 100 Sexiest Women in 2009 (at #87) and 2012 (at #20), and appeared on the magazine's cover in July 2013. Her younger sister Ashley also a prominent cosplayer and celebrity.
Neneko's trademark sexy and kawaii look has made her one of the most popular female Asian cosplayers. The Taiwanese cosplayer enjoys dressing up as characters from a wide range of genres, but Tsushima Yoshiko and Kurosawa Ruby from Love Live! Sunshine!! hold a special place in her heart.
Professional Japanese cosplayer, voice actress, and singer Enako hails from Nagoya. She started doing cosplay in 2007, after watching the anime show The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Rozen Maiden.
She started the idol group Panache! in August 2012, but the group dissolved a year later. Apart from cosplay, her hobbies include anime and video games.
Popular Korean cosplayer Aza Miyuko is the leader of the cosplay team Acrown (she was part of Spiral Cats from 2011 until 2013). She dabbles in music, releasing her debut single "Cosplay Girl" in 2017.
Since Korean cosplayer Saida posted her first Instagram photo in August 2015 (as Elizabeth Liones from the anime Seven Deadly Sins ), she quickly gained a following. She makes her own costumes, taking around 2-7 days for each costume. Her other hobbies include playing the violin, learning foreign languages (especially German), walking her old dog, watching anime, and playing video games.
A model since 2001, AniMia started cosplaying in 2008. The Asian-American is a regular at conventions across the US, often acting as a costume contest judge. She's also an ambassador for the streaming site Crunchyroll.
A Filipino celebrity, Myrtle was discovered as a contestant on Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 4, and walked away from the reality show with the Big Winner prize under her belt. Now, she's known as one of the Ten Most Popular Cosplayers in the World and is a popular TV presenter.
Taiwanese cosplayer Mon is known for her cute and innocent look, as well as her technical skill when it comes to wig-styling, makeup, and costume-making. Cosplay is such a big part of her life that she often does the groceries in costume!
Asian-American cosplayer Amie Lynn first started cosplaying after a friend invited her to an anime convention in 2009. An art and pop culture lover throughout school, she immediately fell in love with it, and hasn't stopped since.
Known for her detailed and intricate cosplays, Taiwanese cosplayer Ely gained fame in the cosplay community for her cosplay of Sakuya from the Touhou series. Now, she has over 390,000 fans on Instagram. She has two cats named Regal and Mya.
One of the OG female Asian cosplayers, Chinese-American Yaya Han is a model and costume designer who often acts as a judge in cosplay competitions in the US. She's been featured on the show Heroes of Cosplay, and has appeared on the reality show King of the Nerds several times.
Taiwanese cosplayer Misa Chiang began cosplaying in 2010, and has been a featured guest at many international cosplay events. She's known for her cosplays for League of Legends, Shakugan no Shana, No Game No Life, and more.
Stella Chuu started cosplaying back in high school — she was part of an anime club, and roped in some friends to cosplay as characters from Naruto (Stella cosplayed Sakura). But it wasn't until she graduated from college when she started taking it seriously.
Now, she's one of the most well-known female Asian cosplayers, as well as a burlesque performer. She has started a project dubbed #1CosplayAWeek to show her fans how she completes each costume via live stream.
With each cosplay, Vietnamese-American Linda Le lives up to her Vampy persona. Her popularity shot up after her cosplays were featured in the book Otacool 2 . She's part of costume and armour prop-making group Mantium Industries and is also a sponsored video gamer.

I don't remember Chewbacca's tits being that big.

Ah yes, every man's sexual fantasy, Chuckie from Rugrats...

How annoying to be her man. Follow her around and have to take all these stupid pictures. Let me see the pic? No not good enough take another, rinse and repeat.

Just another thot sucking up NEET bux (among other things)

Funny how women's cosplay is essentially just having big tits, wearing a bra and panties and getting someone to split-screen a photo of what you are meant to be dressing as. Hey I'm cosplaying as Tom Cruise from Risky Business cuz I'm sitting here in my fucking boxers.

I'll take Gammie and poison Ivy all day

Gammie Boysulay from Leisure Suit Larry 6? I didn't see her in this gallery.

We're not talking massive wardrobe malfunction or disastrous mix-ups, but a mere waste of aesthetic potential.
Everyone can appreciate the time and effort cosplayers put into their outfits. Not only are they dressing up as the characters, but they're embodying their personas to a tee, replicating their idiosyncrasies, bringing along sidekicks, and wielding weapons made famous in the movies or comics.
From the Super Smash Bros. roster, over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC Comics, The Hunger Games, and everything in between, there is no shortage of opportunity when it comes to cosplay. With that in mind, some cosplay girls still make the wrong choice. We're not talking massive wardrobe malfunction or disastrous mix-ups, but a mere waste of aesthetic potential.
These cosplay girls should have shot for the stars, yet instead, they barely left Earth.
We can't help by gawk at this particular Samus Aran cosplayer. Her choice to dress up at Nintendo's Metroid main character (and one of the beloved Super Smash Bros. characters) was a good one, as the tight-fitting bodysuit clearly highlights her features. However, she could have taken it up another level if she went a little more au naturale .
Whether her long, blonde locks are natural or dyed for the purposes of this outfit, we feel like this cosplayer could have chosen an outfit that would flaunt her features a little better. Some black leather, Katniss Everdeen-style would contrast her blonde hair beautifully, while something a little more flattering to the curves wouldn't go awry either.
After first appearing in the Marvel UK series, Captain Britain, Psylocke has become most known for her appearances in the world of X-Men. This cosplayer has plenty of potential, and seems to have done at least a fair job in replicating the character, but she could have delivered so much more in a Wonder Woman outfit, for instance.
With a rocking steampunk feathered hat, a frilly shirt and a mix of fur and metal sleeves, this cosplayer has done a commendable job on her outfit, to say the least. Despite the impressive costume, it doesn't really do her any favours in terms of turning a few heads. She could have pulled off a killer Black Widow.
This cosplayer could have taken any comic book, video game, or MCU character, and turned it into something drool-worthy. Instead, to the detriment of all wandering eyes in her vicinity, she made the conscious decision to suit up in a head-to-toe, obstructive Samus suit. To twist the words of Uncle Ben - with great assets comes great opportunity.
It takes more than just sliding into a costume to turn a wannabe cosplayer into a good one. Apart from donning the outfit, you need to embrace the character with authenticity and intent. This girl has had no issue with the costume, but she's clearly lacking enthusiasm when it comes to playing the part.
Princess Peach might indeed be a princess, but that doesn't mean that she needs to repel any wandering eyes by wearing elbow-length gloves and a dress down to her ankles. While this cosplayer has certainly done a job worthy of applause as far as accuracy goes, she's hiding plenty of talent with her choice of outfit.
While Daisy's gloves are at least only wrist-length, we're of the view that gloves and puffy below-knee dresses should be avoided entirely, that is, if the cosplayer is wanting to turn heads. The crown might be a nice touch, but overall the outfit seems rather childish - she could have been the center of attention if she wanted to.
This woman has slid in excellently into her Captain Marvel persona and even has a little bit of a resemblance to the MCU actress, Brie Larson, with her wavy blonde hair. While there's nothing wrong with her choice, per se, she has t
