In this role, you will contribute to our success through acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and non-organic growth initiatives being as part of the Corporate Development and M&A team. Tasks that await you:
- Lead in-depth analysis of potential acquisitions and divestments by identifying and evaluating targets that align with Yandex's strategic objectives, and conduct due diligence and financial modeling.
- Contribute to the development of strategic partnerships in collaboration with business units (C-suite) to identify and pursue partnerships that enhance Yandex's market position and capabilities.
- Explore non-organic growth opportunities with cross-functional teams, as well as research and evaluate alternative growth strategies beyond traditional M&A.
We expect that you:
- Have strong analytical skills and the ability to dissect complex data and draw insightful conclusions
- Know how to build relevant financial models fast and with minimal supervision, and be familiar with valuation tools and approaches
- Think strategically and have an avid interest in studying market trends in order to develop the ability to identify opportunities for growth and think critically
- Have strong foundations for effective communication and teamwork in order to collaborate effectively with multiple business unit C-level stakeholders
- Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, or a related field from a top-tier university
- Have 2+ years of previous experience in M&A, strategy consulting, Private Equity/Venture Capital (PE/VC), investment banking, or corporate development
