Consultative training on investment assessment for adaptation to climate change was held

Within the framework of the project "National Adaptation plan based on sectors to promote medium- and long-term adaptation planning in Uzbekistan“, consultations of the interdepartmental working group on the development of an investment strategy on investment issues taking into account adaptation to climate change, as well as the presentation of the Strategic Plan of the Climate "Green" Fund for 2024-2027 were held. The Ministry of Economy and Finance is involved in this project as a national partner.

For information: This project is based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-5848 of October 10, 2019 "On measures to improve the mechanisms of attracting foreign aid funds and work with donors ” is implemented based on the Decree.

At the event, with the participation of international consultant Andreas Birman (Great Britain), priority projects were discussed in connection with the formation of Investment strategies for climate change adaptation plans in the fields of natural disasters, healthcare, water and agriculture, as well as housing construction.

At the end of the event, it was agreed that the investment strategy will be developed and presented in a short period of time, taking into account the climate change adaptation plans in the areas mentioned by the international consultant Andreas Birman.
