Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity International began its operations in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia-Atlanta. The organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit organization working in nearly over 70 countries. Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia is one the branch of Habitat for humanity International and started its operation in 1993. Since then HFHE served more than 40,000 families. Currently, HFHE is planning to engage construction firm's various construction activities indicated below

Construction site and type of activity

1. Addis Ababa City Administration

1.1Construction of houses and communal Kitchens in Addis Ababa city Administration, Sub cities, Lideta, W-05&10, Gullele, W-01, and Akaki kality, W-03. (for Contractors level GC/BC/ 7, and 6 only).
1.2 Construction of communal toilets with 6-seats, 4-seats, 3-seats and 2 seats, in Addis Ababa city. (for Contractors GC/BC/ 7 and 6 only)
1.3 Construction of Public, Communal and School toilets with 8-seats, and Communal Standpipe (CSP) with water tanker in Addis Ababa city. (for Contractors GC/BC/WWC 6 and 5 only)
II. North Shewa Zone, Shewa Robit Town

2.1 Construction of Concrete Reservoir 500m Holding capacity and Pressure line (for Contractors GC/WWC 4) only
III. West Shewa Zone, Ambo Town

3.1 Construction and of low-cost houses, communal toilet, and Communal Standpipe in Ambo town of Oromia regional state. (for Contractors GC/BC/,6&5 only).
IV. West Arsi Zone, Shala, Arsi Negle and Shahemene

4.1 Construction of new pipeline and rehabilitation of damaged/ old water supply system and installation of pipes with associated valves and fittings. (for contractor's GC/WWC/ 6 AND 5 ONLY)
4.2 Construction of water points and installation of pipes with associated valves and fittings. (for contractor's GC/WWC/ 6 and 5 only)
4.3 Construction of rain water harvesting structure and communal toilets with 4-seats, (for contractor's GC/WWC/ 6 AND 5 ONLY)
4.4 Installation of Gave Valve Chamber for existing water supply pipeline system (for contractor's GC/WWC/ 8 Only and Construction Companies Organized In SME)
