Script : Make the dialogue cryptic; so that it could have some far off meaning, enigma is the key to no story, and don't develop the relationships; keep it mysterious. Art Director : Thrilling and obtuse references to cult like "Eyes wide Shut" secret societies, make sure the audience doesn't know what is a dream, a trip on drugs or real life. Be vague as to what time of day it is and who is in the party or is being tortured. It would have been a great plot at the end if she was actually dead and living out her torture eternally in hell.

Stupid plot, bad acting, but no shortage of sex and nudity. Good-looking star who I assume was a prostitute before she became an actress.

it's a bit exoteric because Kubrick, but it's so well done. scene, character, story are woven well. It's a visual marvel, DP big grats. and... it's swanky. But elitist too. Lio Tipton was so self-conscious it worked because she's never played a more beautiful character. Give it a watch. Don't take it too seriously. It's a total fantasy ... and also plausible.

a million dollar budget. Sadomasochism + snuff + various slo-mo sex scenes. And a lot of cryptic dialog in some kind of massive villa complete with romantic era murals and Tiopolo ceilings.. At least there were no guns. That was refreshing. A few people get slaughtered with knives for who knows why. Mystery. When it got too laconic I hit fast forward. A solid zero. If they had thrown in some threesomes and gay sex I would have boosted it to minus 1. I was surprised at the lack of that.
