Position Overview
Culturewise Youth is seeking a motivated and creative intern (unpaid) to support the launch of an exciting multi-platform social media campaign focused on amplifying global youth perspectives.
Working closely with board directors, staff, and youth contributors from around the world, the intern will help share stories, insights, and experiences from young people across diverse cultures and communities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in communications, media, international development, education, social impact, or nonprofit leadership with a keen eye for graphic design.
The role offers meaningful responsibility, mentorship, and the chance to contribute directly to a growing international initiative.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
* Assisting with the development and implementation of a global social media campaign
* Researching youth issues, cultural topics, and current events relevant to campaign themes
* Drafting and scheduling social media content across multiple platforms
* Supporting video, image, and written content editing
* Coordinating with youth correspondents, volunteers, and partner organizations
* Assisting with internal and external communications
* Helping collect, organize, and manage content submissions from contributors
* Participating in planning meetings and collaborative brainstorming sessions
* Supporting campaign monitoring, reporting, and audience engagement activities
Desired Qualifications
We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Ideal candidates may have:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (and French preferred also)
* Understanding how to stay consistently on-brand through using branded fonts, images, templates, etc.
* Demonstrated ability to create strong social media videos and posts
* Demonstrated ability to build a social media following
* Interest in global issues, youth empowerment, intercultural learning, or social impact
* Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communications
* Successful examples of social media accounts preferred
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
* Experience with Canva, Capcut video editing, graphic design, or content creation is a plus
* Experience working in multicultural or international settings is a plus
