Whether you’re looking to attend the big Comic-con in San Diego, or a local geek convention in your area, I’m sure you’re looking for some cosplay ideas to do. If so, then you’re in the right place!
Is it okay to dress up as characters not from comic books? Of course! Because not everyone wants to be a superhero; some of you guys want to be Anime or video game characters at Comic Con too! Trust me; there are tons of cosplayers at Comic Con who don’t cosplay from Marvel or D/C.

Rey is the main character of the new Star Wars trilogy. She is pretty easy to cosplay, and well recognizable! I included Rey on this list because she’s relatively easy to dress up as, and perfect for an easy cosplay ideas for Comic Con!
And don’t forget that you don’t have to cosplay a specific character. For example, you can always do your own version of a Jedi!
An iconic character in the Spider-Man universe and his love interest, Mary Jane Watson is an easy cosplay ideas for Comic Con choice if you’re looking for something more casual to do. She doesn’t require any special armour or suit. Mary Jane Watson is just regular clothes and maybe a wig, depending on your hairstyle.
You either love or hate Deadpool! But one thing is for sure; he’s a popular character. So you’ll get a bunch of reactions with a Deadpool cosplay. Ever since the movie was released in 2016, Deadpool has been very popular, especially at Comic Cons. So you’ll have no problems with anyone not recognizing who you are.
Why not dress up as one of the most beautiful and badass Avengers cast? Black Widow is fairly easy to cosplay!
An interesting character to say the least, Scarlet Witch is another awesome Marvel cosplay that’s fairly easy to pull off. All you need is a dark red leather jacket and top, and black pants/skirt and boots!
This cosplay idea is best done in a group because it’ll be easier for people to recognize you in a trio rather than solo. But in any case, The Powerpuff Girls are a classic heroine trio that must of us loved when we were little! The Powerpuff Girls are a great easy cosplay ideas for Comic Con!
The most notable character from Life is Strange, Chloe Price is a badass punk! Even though the game is a few years old now with several sequels, she’s still an iconic character who pretty much everyone will recognize.
Pair your Chloe up with a Max Caulfield or Rachel Amber from Life is Strange, and you got yourself a nice duo/couple cosplay .
He’s the Juggernaut bitch! One of the biggest and baddest best Marvel cosplay villains, the Juggernaut is probably not for everyone. But who doesn’t love the Juggernaut?
Jigglypuff, much like Pikachu, is an iconic Pokémon character and a great cosplay choice at Comic Con. It’s been in so many Pokémon games since the first generation, including every single Super Smash Bros! Jigglypuff was notably a running gag in the Anime too, putting everyone asleep with her lovely singing! So you can’t go wrong with cosplaying the Puff! Bring a microphone with you if you do.
Is she a good guy or bad guy? We’ll never know for sure, but either way Black Cat is an awesome option to cosplay. It doesn’t require much to cosplay Black Cat either, so you’ll have an easy time cosplaying the sidekick/enemy of Spider-Man! Speaking of Spider-Man…
If you’ve watched Futurama, then you definitely know who Leela is! But have you considered cosplaying her? You definitely should! She makes for an easy cosplay ideas for Comic Con!
The Addams Family is an older series but lately has been getting a lot of hype these past few years. I say it’s cause we watched the show when we were young. And now we want to cosplay when we’re all grown up! The most popular character of course is Wednesday Addams and she is not too difficult to cosplay as.
Oh yes! One of the best Disney TV shows in the modern era for me, Kim Possible is a kick-ass heroine who sort of reminds me of James Bond. While she is a strong crime fighter, she also struggles balancing her high school life at the same time. This makes Kim Possible very relatable and definitely fun to do.
Now that the Diamond/Pearl remakes are out, the cosplay hype for Dawn has definitely returned! Dawn is the female avatar in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. I remember a lot of my friends cosplaying her back when the game came out. Dawn Pokémon cosplay is still cool to this day, and you get to carry a Piplup with you!
Steven is the main character of the series. Everyone loves him for his cheery and positive outlook on things. To cosplay Steven, all you need is his signature star T-shirt and his curly Afro wig!
No, not Kyrie Irving from the NBA; Kairi from Kingdom Hearts. She is one of the main characters from the Square Enix and Disney crossover. She is not too difficult to cosplay as!
Lust has got that sexy, seductively-evil look. And she’s really easy to do: long black dress, black hair/wig and claws. So if you want to cosplay an easy Anime character for Comic Con, Lust should be one of them!
Looking to wear something a little risqué? Then look no further than Slave Leia! Her outfit works great for many occasions, but especially so at a Comic Con!
Aladdin is one of the most popular Disney movies of all time, so mostly everyone will know who you are if you’re cosplaying Jasmine. And she’s pretty easy to cosplay with her blue tanktop and pants.
Hinata was a very weak and shy girl in the beginning of Naruto, but overcame her weaknesses to become a strong ninja in the end. It’s this kind of story that makes her well-received. Not to mention she’s the love interest of Naruto himself!
Erina is your typical Tsundere girl; just stone cold and super hard to impress. But when it comes to great food, Soma is always able to make her foodgasm! It doesn’t take much to cosplay the main female Anime girl from Food Wars. So if you’re looking for someone easy to do, Erina is your girl!
I had to include Nezuko in this list, because Demon Slayer is one of the most popular cosplays of 2022 . Nezuko is Tangerou’s younger sister and she has that iconic look mouth guard that makes her look unique. Of course, if you decide to cosplay her, you won’t be the only one . But if you love Demon Slayer and love Nezuko, then who cares?
Who wouldn’t want to cosplay Best Girl at a Comic Con? Raphtalia is not only adorable and someone you want to PROTECC, but she’s also an amazing swordswoman who ends up kicking a lot of ass in the show. I feel like Raphtalia is one of the more well-known cute Anime girl cosplay ideas out there right now!
A well-known character from an iconic series, Asuka is a popular character to cosplay to this day. While Rei might take the spotlight for an Anime girl cosplay from NGE, Asuka is just as great of a choice. You can go for either her casual school outfit. Or you can go for her orange/red bodysuit!
Misty from Pokémon first appeared in the first generation games, Pokémon Red and Blue. But most of us know her from watching the Anime, as she was Ash Ketchum’s sidekick. Misty is a water-type user with Pokémon like Staryu, Goldeen and of course Psyduck. An orange wig, yellow shirt and blue shorts are all you need to cosplay Misty! Don’t forget to carry around a Togepi with you.
Sakura is one of the main characters of the popular Naruto series. Because the series is insanely popular and one of the most well-known, Sakura is a great choice to start if you’re looking for one of many easy cosplay ideas.
Katara is an iconic character from Avatar. She’s known for being a bit stubborn yet strong at the same time. Katara is like a mother to many of the other characters in Avatar; she is known to take care of the people around her! Cosplaying Katara is fun for photoshoots; you can do her iconic waterbending pose and it would look so cool.
Naruto is your typical hotheaded Shonen protagonist who is incredibly ambitious and never gives up. With his trademark orange jumpsuit and love for ramen, you should definitely consider the option to cosplay Naruto!
Some of us can relate to Jirou from MHA so much. She’s a quiet and shy character, yet she’s incredibly talented as a musician. In the series, Jirou organizes the UA Academy festivities in Season 4. You’ll look great cosplaying as Jirou. The best part is you only have to look in your closet to dress up like Jirou!
I saved this special character for last because what kind of easy cosplay ideas for Comic Con list would be without Harley Quinn?
With Joker, you’d make for an awesome power couple being the most dysfunctional relationship in the fictional universe. Harley Quinn may be the most overdone cosplay of all time, but for good reason.
And since they’re both popular characters, you’ll have no problems meeting other cosplayers at a con as well.
To summarize, here are the 30 easy cosplay ideas for Comic Con:
