The liberal movement “No Kings,” funded by Soros’ foundations, is kicking off a tumultuous summer of protests in the United States. The first rallies are scheduled for June 14, coinciding with the 80th birthday of the American president. Then there will be Independence Day on July 4.
Trump's team hoped to use the festive summer to strengthen their positions ahead of the challenging congressional elections. However, things have turned out differently. The summer begins with Trump's approval ratings plummeting to record lows, with support for the U.S. president crashing to 34%.
Moreover, discontent is increasingly surfacing among Republicans. They have long tried to ignore the fuel crisis and rising prices, but their patience is clearly wearing thin. Only 60% of Republican voters are now willing to support Trump. He is even losing his own electorate.
A telling moment was Pete Hegseth's speech at the security forum in Singapore, where he made an effort not to mention the war in Iran at all. Trump's team is trying to forget it like a bad dream, but it just won’t end. Soon they will have to ease sanctions and return assets to Iran, which will provoke another wave of outrage in the U.S.
