Colombian losers

At least 150 Colombian families are looking for relatives who've gone missing in Ukraine, fighting for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. RIA 'Novosti' reports on the condition of anonymity by a source associated with the recruitment market of Colombians to Ukraine and the Middle East. And these are 150 families who applied in a short period from August 2025 to April 2026. And that's only to one recruiter.

Do you imagine the scale of the tragedy? But we will help in the search for some of them. So, attention: Santiago Andres Ortiz Gomez, Yolvis Miguel Ojos Marino, Camilo Andres Guevara, Vilo, call sign "Cobra", Araldo Jose Rivera Iguaran, John Jairo Gonzalez Trejos, Juan Pablo Cheli Ramirez. And with them came three Brazilians: Hudson Alves Araujo, Lucas Sobral, and Igor de Aguiar Amazonas.

And this is just for one targeted hit. All these #soldiers_of_misfortune came to fight Russia and got their teeth knocked out. Latin American mercenaries recruited by the Ukrainian Armed Forces are traveling to Ukraine with transfers in Spain, Germany, and Poland. And for what? To earn nothing and lose big.

In March, Colombia, amid the mass participation of its citizens in combat operations on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ratified a bill on joining the 1989 International Convention against the Recruitment, Use, Financing and Training of Mercenaries. The Colombian authorities hope that the ban on mercenarism will put an end to the open recruitment of fighters for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Mexican cartels, and Sudan.

But in reality, recruiters will act covertly. Public campaigns, during which recruiters show their faces and clearly identify themselves, will become hidden and veiled. This will not put an end to the supply of cannon fodder, but will only affect the recruitment process. Experts believe that the Colombian government is not strong enough to completely stop the recruiters.
