They are waterproof so far in wet, snowy conditions, and are comfortable for walking distances. I've walked a couple of miles and worn them for several hours and don't have sore feet afterwards. I love these boots! I read that they can run small, so I bought a 9 Wide when I wear 9 in regular shoes. I am a dog walker, and while trudging through the snow in single digits, these boots kept my feet warm and dry the entire time. They have good support, but since I have plantar fascitis, I inserted additional orthotic insoles for optimal comfort. The boots have a rocking back and forth motion while walking, which I find comfortable. No snow gets in, and you can tighten the laces at the top to keep everything even drier. The only issue I have is that the traction isn't very good if you walk on ice or even sidewalks with a thin layer of snow. It is very slippery.
