Maybe 3 and a half The catamaran excursion was fun But on the way back we we were rained on. The relaxing pool was full of kids playing around all day. Not for couples. Family friendly only. It was a bad choice. Very friendly staff. Have activities to do right by the beach. Have room service included along with mini bar. Good food. Came here for a wedding and the ceremony was intimate and beautiful. Will definitely be coming back! Great resort hard working staff and friendly people beach is great but can be rough and has rocks in parts. Great photo ops. Good food and drinks!! Very nice place to stay at. Nice rooms. All you can eat food and drinks including Alcohol. Preferred Club is very nice. Try to stay on the Pool side of the Resort. If your stay us on far side of resort it sucks because of how far you have to walk. Dominicus beach sucks because of to many rocks. Go to the resort beach next door Catalonia and then you will be able to swim rock free. Very clean and beautiful. Beach is very small and half is roped off for Preferred guests. Did have a couple of issues with not getting clean towels in the room and the mini-bar not getting restocked so no water to drink. Had a much better experience at Dreams La Romana last year. This resort could be great, but the service is just minimum at best. Also, at the time of this writing, the resort felt 'unfinished' like they just built it the week before, and not very well mind you. Also, not enough activities. Food was OK. This resort was amazing. They had pina coladas waiting for us when we arrived, the room was beautiful and mini bar was well stocked. The beach was so gorgeous, there were quite a few rocks though so water shows would be a good idea. The resort had several restaurants and bars and the good was very good. The employees were so friendly. From the time we arrived we were treated wonderfully by the staff. A very special thanks goes to our Butler and new friend Joan who made sure we had everything we needed at all times. He gave us his cell number so I could just text him whenever I needed something and he would get it done. He even made sure we were all set for departure knowing his day off was the same day we had to leave. Thank you Joan for a job well done 6 stars for you! Private Dinner on the Beach My wife and I decided to have an evening to ourselves during our family vacation. I booked us a private dinner on the beach. It was awesome. He was very good at his job and spoke English very well. I believe he could have been a waiter in any of the finest restaurants in the States, and at a disadvantage He even took some great photos of us on our phones to remember the evening. Breezes off the Caribbean, sound of the waves, fabulous food, fantastic service Thank you Hector for making it a most memorable experience. Absolutely beautiful! My mother and I stayed for a week and everything is very clean, staff is super friendly and helpful. Tons of nightly activities and they throw beach dinners and parties there with special catered food and dancers and entertainers. Amazing resort. The staff is very friendly everywhere you go. At the restaurants, at the beach, and at the pool, the staff is greeting you and smile all the time. Big thanks to Jeffery at the beach bar. Very nice person and good conversations The room was spacious and clean all the time. Although preferred club get private beach and private buffet, everything else is the same. You can see all the preferred club members in the regular buffet and beach. No reason to pay extra. The beach is beautiful and very clean. You can always find chairs at the beach and the hotel. I had two problems, we traveled with toddlers 1. This is nonsense, the club was empty because they took the kids to the beach. They could just let us stay there for an hour while the kids play with the toys. Second issue is the food. The food was average. I wish they had more variations every day and not the similar food. Overall, the vacation was awesome. Facilities are beautiful. Very clean. Food is excellent, the staff is very friendly. It your out before 7am the keys are locked and they have to fetch a manager. Most juices are not natural, taste like powder and mix. Great stay. Not as large as most AI which was nice. Food was decent. Stayed in Privilege room which was nice, included all bath amenities including sunscreen, shaving cream, razor blade, bathrobe, slippers, beach bag, mini bar, turn down service, pillow menu, etc. Nightly entertainment. Stayed in building 65 which is by the main pool, beach and restaurants. There is an area on the beach for privileged guests and there was always chairs available. Staff was amazing. I disliked that guest could smoke in common areas. We have actually been back for over a week. It was the most amazing trip EVER! We were there from Feb22 - March 1st. Loved every minute of it! We actually loved it so much, we never left the resort. The whole entire staff was amazing! Check in was easy. The room was very comfortable. The grounds were impeccably clean. The staff works so hard to make sure you are having a great vacation. My favorite staff by far was Genesis our waitress. She went above and beyond every day. Coco and the entertainment staff were really fun. And Emilio our favorite bartender made sure our drink were always full. There were always pool chairs available, so it was so nice not having to get up early to save chairs. The ocean was so calm and clear. No one selling goods on the beach was so nice! Well worth the hour drive from the air port! We will definitely come back to this resort! This place is truly a great resort. From the simple amenities provided in your bathroom to the great selections of great foods served at all their restaurants. I mean, when was the last time a hotel provided nail clippers? Or sunscreen? The dessert tables, and there are more than one, offer beautifully crafted pieces of edible art in various flavors and textures. A chocolate fountain???? And I, being a keto guy, found plenty of variety to satisfy my appetite. Well done! Clean, comfortable, and well laid out! A delight for all ages. It is a lovely hotel. Lots of Great food, and a beautiful beach. Rooms are spacious, modern and well maintained. Would highly recommend. This place could be a 4. Dreams Aventura in Cancun and Dreams Tulum would definitely be much better options. For the money, you can do better elsewhere. Enjoyed the entire experience. I thought the food could have been a tad better. Newer resort. I know they will fix that. Jorge the butler, who was new, but I think he did a fine job stating he was the only one there to take care of everyone. Still, it is really beautiful, and I really enjoy my trip, the room is beautiful, the hotel is incredible. I would gladly sugger it to all of my friends if they really want to relax for a week. The location, beach and rooms are fantastic. However, the service, food are lacking and hoping there will be improvement soon. Excellent service. Good, but not great food options. Clean, clear and tranquil beach water. Clean modern building design and upscale room decor. Medium sized resort with few entertainment options. Good place to escape and relax. The phone operator always sounds annoyed or pissed when you call at night for 'Midnight Snacks' or when you need a reload of your free soda bottles that they offered in your resort package. And their room breakfast is below average. Ever seen a breakfast menu with no bacon? Go there ;. Always ran out of drinks, snacks, etc. We were to have our room stocked everyday Food was just ok. Several in our group got sick. The resort was still being worked on, so had to manuvour around construction. We were in Preferred, but they let non-preferred in the private beach area. The pool bar was great until they opened the resort to the locals for the weekend. When the locals were there, guests were ignored. Just came back home from being at Dreams on my honeymoon. Were were actually moved here to Dominicus from Punta Cana due to Hurricane Maria and from the moment we walked through the door even though it was unplanned the staff were there to take care of us and make sure we were safe the whole time. We had a great time her at Dreams. The general manager was amazing and made sure that every guest was happy at all times! It is too slow and they staff seems lost most of the time. They need to be train and need to speak at least more than 1 language, the hotel is like a brand new car and the driver just obtain his new license, need a lot of practice! So nice, clean, and amazing staff. Food is delicious. Not my favorite Dreams property but still nice. Nice Preferred Club area and beach. This property is a little more modern in design and is very new. Beautiful, new and not too crowded. Pools everywhere. Staff extremely helpful! Only 2 complaints : the beach has rocks 10 feet into the water, long waits for dinner resort restaurants. Take off 1 star for that. Beautiful resort and very relaxing! Concierge services are excellent, but wait staff at the pools were slow to offer to bring drinks. First evening at resort afforded a rather long wait for dinner. My husband and I got married here in September We had about 30 family and friends stay here for our week long celebrate. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and well kept. The ocean was incredibly, clean and blue. However, if you did not come early to the beach, it was difficult to found lounge chairs. There was always a game or activity going on at the beach. Which is great when you have a large group. Although the food was not the best, the service and the atmosphere made up for it. The best restaurants was the Asian one. The room was great. We received two 30 minute body massages that were fairly good. The wedding was perfect, something out of a magazine. It was enchanting and breath taking. In fact it was the talk of the resort My whole family wants to go back soon. If you stay at Dreams La Romona you will definitely enjoy yourself. So we ended up at dreams Dominocis by mistake. Rooms are comfortable and espacious not very clean. The service at the restaurants all of them was the worst ever experinced until we found ROSE. They would bring your soup and never bring a spoon. You would ask the waiters to serve you water 3 or 4 times before you actually get it. Overall we had a great time at Dreams Dominicus with family and friends. Thank you! My review is quite long but i promise it is worth the read! I visited La Romana, DR in celebration of my 23rd birthday and one of my best friends graduating college woo hoo! I mean this truly from the bottom of my heart. From the moment you arrive at the entrance of the resort you are greeted by such warm and good energy staff. Leonel Richie who works for the car service was absolutely amazing! He is such a kind and helpful gentleman. When you enter the resort you are escorted to your area for check in We had did the 'preferred club' stay and when we went to check in we were greeted with champagne and complimentary food which I very so much enjoyed : Felix the butler gave us a complete tour of the resort, and was there any minute of the day if we ever needed his services he was right there. Even after giving us the champagne as complimentary they even gave us a bottle of wine and a delicious, fancy chocolate dessert! The rooms were very clean and very nicely set up. House keeping did a wonderful job keeping the rooms clean. We had a swim up pool outside of our room which was always very well kept clean also. Every morning we would go to the buffet to get breakfast and we befriended two wonderful waiters, Jose and Felix. They definitely took care of us at breakfast. Before going to the beach we would stop at the Preferred club bar and we were treated soo nice by Rosaura, Yorkiria, Alexandra and Nerci. These girls truly made our experience incredible. The restaurants at the resort served good food. We built such a friendly and nice relationship with most of the staff at Dreams Dominicus. When I tell you, the managers know how to hire amazing staff I will keep recommending this resort because they deserve more than 5 Stars for the unforgettable, most amazing and beautiful trip we had. Excellent resort!!! Its a very clean resort and the hotels were very nice as well, entertainment was great, food was delicious and all the staff workers were very friendly and most spoke english very well. Definitely recommend this place. Highly recommended for all, has a beautiful view, really polite people, calmed, great music, good vibes. If you love to share you can participate in many games, good food, rooms are always very clean, most of the rooms has a pool, if you own one of this rooms you can get out of the pool when you want it. They give you service even at am. Very safe for kids, bar uses security, disco is very juvenile but everybody can join except kids obvious Has a gim, spa, theaters, many restaurants, mini shops or gift shops just in case you want some jewelry or Something. Beautiful place that stays Caribbean. If your really good resorts this is a good choice. Highly recommended by me. I stayed at Dreams for spring break along with my boyfriend, my parents, and a group of about 40 other people including my 18 year old brother, several of his classmates and their families for their 'senior spring break trip. The staff was always happy to serve guests, the food was excellent, the resort was very clean and well kept, the beach was gorgeous and well maintained, the bars were good, and the pools were very clean and never crowded! I would say that this resort is best suited for couples and families, and not as much for the typical college 'spring break' crowd they actually do not allow spring breakers ages at the resort unless they are part of a family vacation. This keeps the noise level down and the vibe of the resort more fun and relaxing. I especially enjoyed the relaxation pool, which was the first pool separate from the 'adventure pool', made for people who would rather relax and lounge than play pool activities, drink at the swim-up bar, and listen to upbeat music. The World Cafe was just wonderful, and I enjoyed the endless fresh fruit and desserts! If you can get your name down for a spot, I also recommend the Hibachi restaurant! The website advertises a few other restaurants but those are actually at different resorts. You can eat there as part of the all-inclusive but you must arrange your own transportation. We did not do this but the restaurants at the resort were all we needed. The only critiques I have are that at times service at the restaurants was slow, but the quality was always very good so I figure that you wait longer because they are putting better care into serving each and every person. Also, the 'Scuba Caribe' shack the place for setting up excursions had to refund my boyfriend and I for a cruise we really wanted to go on, but they cancelled it 4 times because nobody but us signed up. I think they could do a better job at advertising excursions, because for most of them if there is not more than 10 people signed up you cannot go. But overall I was very pleased with this resort and I would do it all over again if I could! If you go, be sure to check out either Catalina or Saona Island, and also go see Monkey Land If you want cute sweet little monkeys crawling on your shoulders eating fruit out of your hands!! Thank you Dreams for a fantastic week! The reviews are somewhat misleading as this resort is not finished with the build yet. It has a very similar name to another resort 10 minutes away from this one. This one was just opened in October and has a far way to go to meet 5 stars. It is an hour away from Punta Cana and originally we were brought to the other Dreams La Romana property. Then we had to load up and go to the new one. During check in the front desk tried to have us pay for an upgraded room, we told them no, we wanted to see our booked room first. What the heck is that? Many room issues were had by our whole party and others, we watched from our balcony as people were moved from room to room to room. The website shows rooms and dining that is not even the same resort. They have other resorts mixed in with their photos. There is construction on both sides and in front of this resort. Several of our friends rooms were right next to it and they work until 10 and 11 at night with jackhammers. They advertise top shelf liquor, but it is mostly generic. No reservations at the 4 nicer restaurants and staff can not even give an estimate on how long you will need to wait. One night it took 3 hours to complete dinner. Food is fine to good, but not excellent. Nice people, but not well trained or organized. Loved the beach and the pools, Beautiful weather, it has all the makings of a great resort but they need some help to get there. The resort was beautiful and clean, the food was great, the pool is beautiful, and the weather was terrific. The staff was professional, polite, accommodating and helpful. The concierges where efficient, friendly and helpful. We were very impressed with the staff as we had a medical emergency and they handled it efficiently and professionally. So many of the staff were great and the entertainment crew had endless energy, bountiful smiles and they were very talented and committed. Special shout out to Doris, Victor, Sexy Belly, and all the entertainment staff. Yoga on the beach was unforgettable and we enjoyed the evening shows. We celebrated our anniversary at the French restaurant and it was very special eating while watching the sun go down. It was an unforgettable trip and I would definitely go again. Just great staff. My room was fine. The grounds are pristine and beautifully. All the food we had was very good. Highly recommend. Staff is friendly, they go out of your way to accommodate your every need. There is adult only areas as well as family areas. The food is great, lots of options. Hibachi chefs are very entertaining. The grounds and rooms are maintained to the highest standard. And the views We had a great time here. Avoid the Time-Share sales people. Excellent food at the main cafeteria Mr. Lappost is the best!!! He makes you feel like family. The spa is outstanding and the beach is absolutely beautiful. I can not wait to visit again. From top to bottom, a complete A1 service. Although our bags were lost on the flight to Santo Domingo, as soon as my girlfriend and I stepped foot to the beautiful, luxurious resort, our mood instantly changed. The food was superb, the staff was beautiful and amazing. Although I never personally been to a spa before, the spa is a sight to be seen in itself. You will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back to Dreams La Romana. Just a great resort Prefered Club side of the resort is a real must. The other pools are more noisy then the prefered pools. The hotel is very nice and relaxing. The staff was friendly and the beach was beautiful. When walking you go from the gorgeous white sand to the amazing blue water which is very nice temp. We went in june and it was wonderful one of the most relaxing stays. The food was ok i wouldnt say it was amazing defiantly room for improvement and the shows need work however the staff and entertainment staff definitely do their best to keep people entertained from games to zumba. I gave this an overall 5 despite some improvements needed. Me and my husband visited here for 2 weeks for our honeymoon on the recommendation of his parents. We were very impressed, friendly service from staff who work extensive hours , particularly a barmaid by the pool named Sweet Mama who was happy to chat and was consistently polite and friendly, seemed genuinely happy to see us each day and remembered our drinks Grounds were maintained on a daily basis. Buffet and steak house were our favourite restaurants by far Pools were amazing as was the beach There was a sales presentation but it was optional to attend, and you got a free gift if you did Would definitely recommend and go again, only an 8 hour flight is the downside. We came here for a friends wedding. Breakfasts on the beach and the nice quiet pool were great. The rooms were much better compared to other people we had travelled with in the standard rooms. Specialty restaurants were not very good. Mostly bland. Found the buffet food to have more variety and be more flavorful. In all honesty we are not huge fans of all inclusive especially food wise. After leaving dreams we spent 4 days in casa de campo and the cuisine went from mostly blah to extraordinary. Employees were very nice. We brought a big gift bag of toys, candies, etc from the US and we could tell it was appreciated from the staff. Was very nice to break the ice and get on a first name basis with many of the employees even through the language barrier. The employees are what made the trip for us. Definitely on the the better all inclusive experiences I have had. Thank you verry much for the best vacation ever! With my wife we enjoyed everithing! We were definitely not disappointed! The all inclusive preferred club was amazing. We were there for a week and never wanted for anything. The pool was gorgeous and the beach was quiet and relaxing. The restaurants were all very good and the buffet had so many choices for entrees and so many deserts it was unbelievable. The service was exceptional and all the staff were very friendly and more than happy to help. We loved it and plan on a return trip. Definitely the best value for the money. Great resort. Friendly staff. Greeted upon arrival with champagne. We upgraded for free to preferred club through Costco travel. Well worth it. Private pool and other amenities. The beach beautiful. Kayaks are free along with sailboats and peddle boats. Restaurants are delicious. Seaside grill excellent. Coco cafe great for coffee. Portifino was bad Italian food Small portions and not good food.
