At just 19-years old and stunningly beautiful, straight-A chemistry student Alyssa Funke took her own life weeks after she dabbled in the seedy world of amateur porn and was mercilessly taunted for her decision.
Miss Funke, who wanted to be an anesthesiologist, decided to take part in a sex video with a stranger in Las Vegas for website CastingCouch-X, using the name 'Stella Ann'.
Days after the sex tape of the teenager, from Stillwater, Minnesota, was posted online in March, abusive messages flooded her social media accounts, many from her former schoolmates at Stillwater High.
Straight-A chemistry student Alyssa Funke, 19, from Miinnesota, took her own life two weeks after she dabbled in amateur porn and was mercilessly taunted for it
The messages, ranged from gossipy and sarcastic to nasty slurs about the University of Wisconsin student.
High school students had reportedly gathered around tables in the cafeteria to watch the teen's sex tape on their cellphones, according to KMSP-TV .
One called Miss Funke a 'thot', a slang word for prostitute, adding: 'Does her dad know?'
Another message sniped: 'Nothing brings a school together like a porn star who graduated last year.'
Miss Funke fought back - defending herself. She tweeted: 'Pornstar status' and 'FAMOUS for dayzzzzz.'
The last message she posted on Facebook on March 4 read: 'The people that envy & hate you the most, stalk you on social media the most so, hey hi hello how r u doing, this ones for you.'
She wrote a post to her 'future husband' and about vulnerable message about wanting a relationship where you 'never feel unwanted or alone'.
Funke went to Las Vegas for her interview with CastingCouch-X in March where she called herself Stella Ann. She appeared nervous on the tape and talked about her real dreams of becoming an anesthesiologist
During her interview for the amateur porn site in March, Alyssa Funke, who called herself 'Ann' looked nervous and described her college plans and described her childhood as 'pretty much normal'
The 19-year-old did not know the easiest of childhoods, despite describing her past with a shrug in her porn video interview as 'pretty much' normal.
Her biological father Rashad Bowman was jailed in 2001 for fraud in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Court records show that as a young girl, Alyssa tried to keep in contact with her father using audio tapes.
Her mother and a boyfriend were charged with drug-dealing. Family told KMSP-TV that the teenager had money worries and struggled with depression.
Despite brushing off the taunts from her peers, the words affected her, family said. On April 17, the teenager bought a shotgun, drove to Big Carnelia Lake and killed herself on her family's boat.
The teenage college student had a troubled upbringing with her father in jail in Arizona and her mother and a boyfriend arrested for dealing drugs
Her devastated family, who have been unwilling to speak publicly on her tragic death, launched The Alyssa Stop Bullying Fund , which has so far raised just $165.
On the site, a family message reads: 'On Wednesday April 16, at the young age of 19 Alyssa Funke took her own life. Alyssa like so many other teens was a victim of bully and sadly the bullying lead to her death.'
According to KMSP-TV, Miss Funke's video remains on their website. Attempts to contact the site have so far been unsuccessful.
The local sheriff's office is investigating the teenager's death but does not believe that the messages sent to Miss Funke amount to criminal harassment.
Miss Funke's story draws similarities with Duke student Miriam Weeks, 18, who was outed as porn star Belle Knox earlier this year and also sat on the same Vegas couch for CastingCouch-X.
Miss Knox, a women's studies major, made headlines earlier this year when one of her classmates outed her secret life as a porn star to the student body.
Since then, she has defended her decision to enter the adult film world on Piers Morgan Live, The View and other talk shows.
Weeks after Miss Funke made the sex tape and had been bullied relentlessly on social media, she drove to Big Carnelia Lake and shot herself on her family's boat

The death of Playboy founder, Hugh Hefner left Hollywood
mourning, but we can’t help but think about all the Playboy bunnies Hef brought into the
spotlight since the infamous magazine started in 1953.
Wonder where your favorite Playboy gals are now? Check it out!
At 18, she began her career at Playboy and a year later in 1969 she landed her first of four Playboy covers. Barbi dated Hugh Hefner from 1969-1976, which was considered a lengthy amount of time for Hef.  After parting way with Hef, she married George Gradow in 1979 and they had two children together. Barbi divides her family’s time between homes in Aspen and Los Angeles and she and Hef remained close friends through the years.
Shannon got her start on Playboy because of a show called “Thrill of a Lifetime,” which lets its viewers live out their dreams. They casted Shannon, an aspiring model, at the time. Shannon’s shoot led to her becoming the 1982 Playmate of the Year and also launched her acting career. She lived at the Playboy Mansion for about 14 months as Hugh Hefner’s partner. She ended up meeting her husband, KISS bassist Gene Simmons, at the Playboy Mansion in 1983.
Shannon shared this photo on Instagram and paid her respects to Hef with a touching note. “#HughHefnerwill be missed by us both and many more around the world. He had a profound effect on my life. My husband and Hef often talked about the many things they had in common aside from me. Movies, comics, politics philosophies and love.”

Pamela Anderson rose to fame when she covered the October 1989 issue of Playboy as the Playmate of the Month in 1990. After her Playboy fame, Pamela scored the role of C. J. Parker on “Baywatch” and played the part for five years. She and Hef were always close and Pam had a whopping 14 Playboy covers throughout her career, leading many to believe that she was Hef’s muse of sorts. She shared an emotional goodbye to her longtime friend on Instagram late on Wednesday after she heard the news of his passing, “My favorite image of #Hef and I. His piercing manly stare that turned you instantly into everything female.”

Also known as Miss May 1992 or Playmate of the Year 1993, Anna Nicole Smith is one of the most famous Playboy models. Smith landed her first Playboy cover in March 1992 with the name Vickie Smith. She went on to do four more covers for Hugh Hefner’ magazine, including the June 1993 Playmate of the Year issue. Her last cover was published in May 2007. Anna Nicole was no stranger to controversy, and she had a highly-publicized marriage to J. Howard Marshall. Following his death, Anna Nicole began a lengthy legal battle over his estate. Anna Nicole died at the young age of 39 from an overdose on prescription drugs. At the time of her death, her son, Daniel, had just passed away, and she was also in a bitter custody battle over her daughter, Dannielynn Birkhead.
Marilyn Monroe was already a successful actress when her nude photos appeared in the debut issue of Playboy Magazine in 1953. Hefner bought the photos, which we taken before Monroe got famous. Her career and life were consistently in the spotlight due to high =profile relationships, however she and Hef were never romantic. On August 5, 1962 Marilyn was found dead in her bedroom, the coroner ruled the death “probable suicide.” She and Hefner will forever be tied though in life and in death — Hefner will be buried beside her crypt in Los Angeles.
Jenny McCarthy began her career in 1993 as a nude model for Playboy and was later named Playmate of the Year. McCarthy’s career blossomed and she went on to host shows on MTV and became a host on “The View.” She now hosts her own show on SiriusXM. The last time she posed for Playboy was for the cover in 2012, which she wanted to do for her 40th birthday. Jenny is married to actor, Donnie Wahlberg.  Jenny remembered Hef with a sweet photo on Wednesday. She captioned the photo, “RIP #Hef Thank you for being a revolutionary and changing so many people’s lives, especially mine. Thank you for choosing me to be one of your bunnies. I hope I made you proud. I will forever be grateful. 🙏😓❤”

As luck would have it, Kendra met Hugh Hefner by working his 78th birthday party in 2004. Soon after they met, Hef asked Kendra to be one of his girlfriends and he moved her into the Playboy mansion. She was one of the girls featured on “The Girls Next Door,” which followed Hef’s girlfriends, Kendra, Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt. In 2009, Kendra moved out of the mansion after meeting her husband, Hank Baskett, which led to her own spin-off series “Kendra.”  She and Hank have two children together, Hank Baskett IV and Alijah Mary.
Kendra posted a series of cute photos of she and Hef saying, “Thank you Hef!”

PORN star Bree Olson was one of Charlie Sheen’s live-in girlfriends — now she lives in a dark world with a public that ignores her.
FORMER porn star Bree Olson has spoken out for the first time about what it’s like to carve out a career once you leave the adult industry — and it’s a damning indictment of life post-porn.
The 29-year-old quit porn in 2011, and has since been trying to transition to mainstream acting. For many, she’s best known as one of Charlie Sheen’s infamous ‘goddesses’ — one of several girlfriends Sheen lived with during his infamous 2011 breakdown.
Olson says that, five years after giving up porn for good, she still feels the negative effects every day.
“When I go out, I feel as if I’m wearing ‘slut’ across my forehead. All the mean things people say to me on the internet — that’s how I feel when I walk out the door,” Olson says in a video interview for the ‘Real Women, Real Stories’ project.
“I’ve gotten to a point where there are days to weeks at a time that I don’t leave my house, because I don’t feel like facing the world. I get so disappointed when I meet a new friend, and it turns out they don’t want to be my friend anymore. It’s easier for me to stay inside my house.”
Olson says that, during her porn career, she was making up to $60,000 per month.
“I could go back to porn today and make that — I could make $20,000 in one week if I wanted to. I don’t, because that’s how much I don’t want my photos on the internet,” she says.
“People treat me as if I’m a paedophile. They don’t treat me like I’m an ex-sex worker, they treat me like I would be damaging to children.”
Asked how she’d like to be treated, she breaks down.
“I wish that people would treat me like they’d treat a married registered nurse with 2.5 kids in Indiana. That’s how I wish people would treat me. But it’ll never happen — that’s probably why I don’t think about it.”
In an opinion piece accompanying the video , Olson — real name Rachel Oberlin — writes that she receives no money from her porn career now, despite the fact her pornographic images and videos are still viewed countless times online.
“There are no royalties in porn. I see ads to this day, and my movies are everywhere on the internet. These faceless people behind the industry still make millions and face no repercussions, and I am left to try and come up with ideas of how to have my own business because there’s not much else I can do. We are the only entertainment industry that doesn’t offer talent royalties after they are gone. So now I am shunned by society and broke.
I’ve had people recognise me off just my voice alone. Porn is the one industry where the more successful a woman is, the more she will suffer for the rest of her life.
My biggest regret was leaving the industry. Leaving all of that money and trying to get the world to like me. They still don’t, and they never will. I should have just put in another five years at least so that in my smart financial years as I was older, I could have saved enough to live comfortably for the rest of my life.”
Olson said she was sharing her story as a warning to other women contemplating a porn career.
“I send a very strong message to young girls: don’t do porn. As much as you want to embrace your sexuality and say ‘I can do whatever I want with my body’, you’re going to have a life of crap in front of you. You can never work with children after you do porn, you can never work in the medical field after you do porn. These are things that teenage girls don’t think about. How people treat you for the rest of your life — it’s not worth it.”
While the key royal family members were in attendance for the Queen’s Jubilee events this week, Harry and Meghan kept their appearances to a minimum.
As the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations came to a close, a heartbreaking moment on the Buckingham Palace balcony sent one clear message to the public.
Amber Heard’s sister has said she still stands with her “sissy” in her first public comments since the bombshell defamation trial with Johnny Depp.
