this was awesome - simple plot and one long impressive scene after another. memorable for a misogynistic main wearing only supportive women shirts, ie. a Vassar College shirt while getting double-head is so on the nose, it’s Shakespearean.
I've loved this film for years and revisiting it was a complete delight! Producer Harold Lime's follow-up to THE ECSTASY GIRLS isn't up to that film's level of perfection, but imagine a New World sex comedy with hardcore footage and you'd have this genuinely funny all-star romp. Annette Haven is the bitch on wheels sorority president who bars her sisters (Serena, Lisa de Leeuw, Samantha Fox, Brooke West, Lysa Thatcher, Tawny Pearl, Teri Dolan, Lisa K. Loring) from dating the underdog brothers of the campus' least popular fraternity (Jamie Gillis, Jon Martin, John Leslie, R.J. Reynolds) as her rich publisher daddy (John Alderman) plans to publish a cover story about the sorority. Add in stripper Vanessa Del Rio, magazine staff…
“XXX comedies can so easily strike an uneven balance, but here Gary Graver nails it and manages to shoot with a vigour and pizazz that outshines many of CO-ED FEVER’s sex-free peers that also flirted with college capers. Granted, it’s about as subtle as its spiked punch in regard to the plundering of National Lampoon’s Animal House, with a handful of borrowed buffoonery like the homage to ‘where are they now’ in the end credits, but it’s rarely lazy and harbours a knowing wink.“
