Code Geass left a huge impact on the anime community, prompting many fans to bring Lelouch, Kallen, & company to life through cosplay.
Code Geass has a huge cast. In the brief two seasons, Lelouch interacted with all kinds of people: Students of Ashford Academy, Black Knights, Britannian army generals, and many more. The side characters are portrayed in a pretty good manner.
Their dialogue doesn't feel forced and their actions are the same as an actual person would do in that situation. This level of relatability made a solid base for an impactful story. Naturally, this led to fans falling in love with the anime's characters . Cosplaying Code Geass characters require intricating clothing, and some cosplays have achieved that level.
Love was the only thing CC wanted after living as a slave. Her life had no value and no one would've remembered if she had died, so her Geass manifested in a way to make anyone fall in love with her. In the end, she became immortal and bore the pain to see everyone around her die.
Miryokucosplay perfectly captures that grief in her eyes. Her costumed has been crafted with detail and hard work. Those high heels must have been killing her feet. Also, the way she is posing in an empty hallway looks really cool. Her green hair reaching her back looks the same as the anime.
This is clearly a group collaboration but it was posted by KoujiAlone (therefore, he has been credited). If looked closely, then every prominent character from the Ashford Academy is in this picture. On the far right is Suzaku, Kallen, Milly Ashford, Rivalz, and Lelouch. On the left, only Nina is recognizable.
Perhaps they are from other schools. Studying in a school like this is a dream of every otaku. They have a festival where they make the world's largest pizza. Members of terrorist organizations, a royal prince, and a high-rank soldier study there. Although, their skirts are a bit too short.
There may be cuter or stronger characters but no one can replace Princess Cornelia. She got outsmarted by Zero but this does not mean she is any less of a talented soldier. She commanded Britannian forces on the front lines and had to fake her own death.
Bopizop embodies Cornelia's tough and empowering personality. She says that she loved her confident and strong attitude so she decided to cosplay her but did not found any good ones online. The cosplayer took it upon herself to give life to Cornelia and set a standard. And the result was stunning. She hand-crafted it 100% and even the dyed the wig.
As said by DakunCosplay , who is cosplaying as Rolo, this photo was pre-planned. He was not happy with his role as Rolo but still went with it to make it successful. It is featuring all the lead characters like Princess Euphemia, Lelouch, the Emperor, CC, and others.
Each cosplayer has done an amazing job of representing the characters. Their rendition is true to the anime. Especially, the hairs – whether long, short, or colored – are matching exactly to the anime. Lelouch's father, Charles, is grinning and his beard looks fake as well.
Kallen was one of those characters who had the option to live a happy life in Britannia. Instead, she fought for Japan and became a terrorist. She was a useful ally and played an important role in Lelouch's plans . This attempt of cosplaying Kallen of NatalieCartman is spot on.
The cosplayer even added her own touch of the high heels, and one cannot overlook the environment she took this picture in. It must be freezing and she wore those clothes only to cosplay. She has the right to be called a devoted Code Geass fan.
Sir Jeremiah was dragged down in the beginning. His character had no more importance than being crushed by Zero to establish his authority. But Jeremiah vanished and came back stronger than ever. He got his power of removing Geass and a new ship that can only be controlled by him.
This KoujiAlone cosplay of Jeremiah is from the time he shifted to the good side. He learned not to be manipulated by people's words and matured. Jeremiah looks elegant with the way he is holding the glass of wine in his hand. This look suits him
The good thing about cosplaying Code Geass is that their costumes are inspired by reality. All the characters wear sophisticated and classy clothes. Therefore, cosplaying them also makes one stand out and feel good. Both, Euphemia and Suzaku, are looking like royalty in real life.
Euphie's white dress is straight out of a Disney movie and she looks no less than a princess. It was a shame a joke going wrong lead to her death.
Kallen adopts a timid personality in Ashford Academy and it does not take long for her to hate it . She is a fighter, who stays on the frontlines and defeats people. Kallen is not be messed with. She is also a talented Knightmare pilot.
Meltyfate is behind this impressive representation of Kallen. The stockings and the pose bring out the character's physique and personality. Although, it should be said that Kallen is not the type to smile.
Lelouch is the most cosplayed Code Geass character . The internet is filled with fan art and cosplay of Lelouch. And he deserves it. He went from a nobody to the Emperor of a nation and annihilated every obstacle in his path to reach his goal. He became the devil so no one else would have to, even if his intentions were not always noble.
This cosplay has amazing attention to detail. It's all hand-woven and every inch is carefully referenced from the anime.
Only because of CC was Lelouch able to achieve his goal. She was the one who stayed by his side when everyone left him. She gave him power, supported him, and even revived him after he died. She is the one true companion of Lelouch.
