The end of this made me laugh very hard. But it's like, not at all funny. But super funny and gross.
a bleak and visceral character study of a sad and deranged white dude resigned to the fact that men cannot change. very interesting and thought-provoking. great acting from laine, couldn’t keep my eyes off him.
A slow burn driven by an unhinged performance from the lead, who channels his inner Nic Cage while infusing it with other elements. It's a long build getting increasingly deranged, and paying off with one of the most darkly hilarious things you could see all year. Verdi successfully crafts an eerie, steadily creeping atmosphere (with some lifting from the score). Make-up and effects look pretty darn good given one look at it shows this to be an almost certainly guerrilla-style film. It plays out with some long scenes that really linger and feature very naturalistic dialogue, most of which feels improvised, so it's not necessarily a style everyone will like. It's one of those where it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea. But there are some gems in those moments that stand out well after the final sequence and credits roll.
The ending made me laugh way too hard but the bulk of the movie was disturbing and slow and gross and cold.

Both of B.R. Yeager's novels are masterpieces of a particular strain of doomed contemporary ennui brought on by the horrifically alienating worlds surrounding his characters, so it should come as no surprise his first screenplay channels the same anxieties. What is a surprise is how well those feelings translate into a film, thanks in no small part to a brilliantly committed performance by Jimmy Laine. Verdi's direction stages the bleak tone from the outset, though the film really hits its stride in the second half of the film when the editing steps in to take over for the narration. Cockazoid 's biggest weakness is its reliance on voiceover to communicate its protagonist's emotional state as opposed to embracing its visual storytelling--not…
I didn't really care for murderous narration, which seemed like more talking than was really necessary that didn't convey anything new as the story progressed. But the film got a little better in the second half when he starts actually hearing voices and where as much of the sentiment is felt in the editing as what's said.
I truly don’t know what I was expecting from a film called Cockazoid . This was something.

Ancient literatures provided us with some descriptions of physical features of human groups. In course of time, more and more characteristics were added; specific methods were devised for the classification of the races. As a consequence, a large number of races and sub-races have been distinguished. But it is really troublesome to divide human populations in clear-cut races as the differentiations of characters between the races are quite arbitrary.
In general, a race is believed to possess a distinctive combination of physical traits which it acquires as a result of inheritance. In 1931, American anthropologist E.A. Hooton recognized three primary races—Caucasoid, Negroid and Mongoloid along with several composite secondary sub- races. But he himself felt the need of modifying this classification in 1947. However, most of the scientists have now agreed to divide the mankind into three principal racial types on the basis of relative commonness of physical characteristics.
The principal races, namely Caucasoid, Mongoloid and Negroid have again been subdivided into a number of sub-races. The Caucasoid features are mainly available among the Europeans and their descendants. Mongoloid features are chiefly found in the peoples of Asia and Indonesia.
The Indians of North and South America also exhibit some Mongoloid characteristics. But the Negroid features are restricted among the populations of Africa and Melanesia. A few people in America are also found to exhibit some Negroid physical features because they are the descendants of African people who were once taken to America as slaves.
Some anthropologists like to introduce Australoid as a separate major racial group because of their peculiarity in physical characters. But, in fact, like the American Indians and South African Bushmen, the Australoids form a minor group and in early times these people were widely distributed in the world. Whatever may be, now we will discuss the physical characters of the various groups and sub­groups in a nut shell.
This major racial group includes numerous sub-groups with a variety of racial elements. However, the generalized characters are as follows:
Colour of the skin shows a wide range of variation—white, olive, different shades of brown and sometimes dark brown.
Its form is variable, from flat wavy to different degrees of curliness. Its colour is generally lighter in shades, rarely jet black. Hair texture ranges from medium to fine; rarely is it course.
Quantity of body and facial hair is usually moderate or abundant.
Form of head is variable which ranges from dolichocephalic to brachycephalic.
Form of nose is also variable between leptorrhine to Mesorrhine but platyrrine is never found. Nasal bridge is generally high.
Forehead is high, lips are thin and chin is pronounced. Cheek bones are not at all prominent and facial prognathism is totally absent.
Colour of the eyes is not black. They show lighter shades.
The subgroups that come under this major group are as follows:
The Mediterranean is assumed as the oldest white sub-race, although the exact time of its origin is not known. The people are named after their original habitat—the Mediterranean Shore. In course of time, they migrated to all directions.
As a result, now we find these people in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey and some parts of North Africa. Not only that, they are also found as far as in Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. Possibly these people were responsible for developing the Neolithic culture in Europe, North Africa, Near-East, South-Eastern Asia, and the region of Upper Nile. They showed a great skill in domestication of plants and animals, in weaving, in pottery, in erection of stone monuments and such other factors during the Neolithic period.
The characteristic physical features of this sub-group are light body build, dark complexion and narrow head form. Three distinct sub-types have been distinguished among the Mediterranean sub­group which has been mentioned below:
a) Classical Mediterranean (Basic Mediterranean or Ibero-Insular):
This type is found in the whole of Mediterranean basin and also in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, etc. A sporadic distribution of this racial element is observed in Eastern, Central, and North-Western Europe.
The same physical features are also visible among the Egyptians of North-Africa, the Berbers of Morocco and in Arabia. The Jewish population of Palestine also shares some of their characteristics. However, physical features of Classical Mediterranean are as follows:
Light brown to barnet or tawny white.
Wavy to curly. The colour is black.
Head form varies from dolichocephalic to mesocephalic. Cephalic index ranges between 73 to 76.
Usually leptorrhine and straight with medium thickness.
Long and oval with pointed chin. Cheek bone is flat and the forehead is slightly high with moderate slope.
The stature is medium with slender and delicate body-built.
b) Atlanto-Mediterranean (or Littoral):
This type is distributed in the places like North-Africa, Palestine, Iraq, and the Eastern Balkans. Small numbers of this population are also present in the British Isles, Spain and Portugal.
However, the people are characterised by the following features:
The form varies from wavy to curly and the colour is very dark.
Form of head ranges from dolichocephalic to mesocephalic.
Usually it is straight with medium height and breadth. The root is usually deep.
Long with deep jaws. Cheek bones are prominent. The forehead is retreating with well- developed eye-brow ridges.
The eye-colour varies from medium-brown to dark-brown.
Though the people are tall, but medium stature also occurs among them. The average height is 170cm. They possess more robust body than the Classic Mediterranean.
These types are mostly found in Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Baluchistan, North-West India and Pakistan. Physical features of this population are as follows: Skin colour: very light brown.
Hair: the hair on head is wavy in form and black in colour. Body and facial hair is usually abundant.
Head: the form varies from dolichocephalic to mesocephalic. Cephalic index stands between 71 and 77.
Nose : the nose form is leptorrhine with pointed tip. Nasal ridge is straight or convex.
Stature: the stature is variable, from tall to medium (161-178 cm). But most of the people are medium (average 167cm).
Various opinions have been expressed by different anthropologists regarding the origin and history of Nordic racial type. Some of them said that these peoples were originally ‘Aryans’. But most of the modem anthropologists strongly oppose this view.
The people of Scandinavia are considered as the typical representatives of Nordic racial type. This type is well distributed in Scandinavia, Baltic region. Northern Germany, Northern France, some parts of Netherlands and Belgium, and also in British Isles. A sporadic distribution of this population has also been noticed in various parts of Europe. Not only that, they form an important element in the population of United States and some of the British colonies.
The physical features of the sub-group are as follows:
Skin colour: the skin colour is usually pinkish or reddish white.
Hair: the hair on head is slightly wavy and rarely curly in form. The colour is highly variable as reddish-brown, yellow or very light brown, ash-brown, golden brown, etc. The texture ranges from fine to medium. The hair on body and face is either sparse or medium.
Head: the form or head is mesocephalic. It looks finely arched. Cephalic index ranges between 76 and 79.
Nose: the nose is straight and prominent; leptorrhine in form. Nasal root is high and nasal bridge is also high.
Face: the face is long, narrow and its profile is straight. The bones of the face are strongly developed with flat cheek bones. Forehead is more or less vertical with moderately developed eye-brow ridges. The chin is quite prominent.
Eye: the eye-colour is blue or grey.
Stature: the stature is tall; average height is about 172 cm.
Some anthropologists suggest that the Alpines originated in Central Asia. They tried to correlate this sub-group with Asiatic Mongoloid race. The admixture of Alpines with other racial types such as the Nrodic, Mediterranean, etc. are also found.
Concentration of the Alpine population is found in Central and Eastern Europe especially in the region from France to the Urals. They are also found in the Countries like Denmark, Balkan, Norway, Northern Italy, and in the mountains of Asia Minor. A sporadic distribution of this type has been observed in whole of Europe.
The population are characterised by the following physical features:
Skin colour: their complexion is either Olive or Burnet white, or Bronze.
Hair: the hair form is slightly wavy. The colour ranges from medium brown to dark brown; it is rarely black. The texture is medium to fine. The hair on body and face are abundant.
Head: the form is brachycephalic and the cephalic index is 85.
Nose: the nose is either leptorrhine or mesorrhine with straight or slightly convex profile. The tip of the nose is usually short, thick and fleshy. Nasal root is moderately high; the nasal bridge is also moderate in height and width.
Face: the face is broad and short. Its outline is more or less round and oval. The forehead is high.
Eyebrow ridges are moderately or strongly developed. The chin is prominent.
Eye: the eyes are straight, dark to medium brown in colour. Occasionally it gets blue.
Lips: both the lips are moderately thick.
Stature: the stature is medium to short; average height is about 165cm. The body shows a strong built.
The Beaker: Folk, formerly known as “Round – barrow men”, “Bronze Age men”, etc. are regarded as a cross between Alpines and Nordics. These types of population are found in the region extending from Central Spain to Central Europe, in England and Scotland. They are also found to be sporadically distributed in most of the Central and Western European Countries.
The physical features of this type may be mentioned in the following ways:
Skin colour: the complexion is pinkish or reddish white.
Hair: form is wavy and the colour is dark brown.
Head: the head is large and brachycephalic in form. Cephalic index is 81.
Nose: the nose is long, narrow and prominent on leptorrhine form.
Face: the face is long and narrow. The malar region is prominent. The jaws are large with square chin. The glabella region is high, occiput is flattened and eye-brow ridges are well marked.
Eye: the eye-colour is blue or blue-grey.
Stature: the stature is very tall. The body is muscular and robust.
The East Baltic group exhibits an admixture of characters. They have borrowed traits from various sources of which the Nordic and the Alpine influences are dominant. Certain features strongly suggest an Asiatic Mongoloid influence. But the racial history of this population is practically unknown.
The concentration is mainly found in the areas like North-Eastern Germany, Baltic States, Poland, Russia, Finland, etc.
The physical characters have been enumerated in the following ways:
Skin colour: the skin colour is tawny white or creamy white.
Hair: the form of hair is usually straight and sometimes wavy. The texture varies from medium to coarse. The colour is generally ash-brown, rarely reddish. The facial hair is moderate and body hair is scanty.
Head: the form of head is brachycephalic with a flat occiput.
Nose: the nose form is mesorrhine. It is prominent with convex profile. Nasal root is either medium or low. Nasal bridge is moderately high and broad. Nasal wings are also broad where the tip is snubbed.
Face: the face is square in form with prominent cheek. Forehead is high. Angles of the lower jaws are square and the chin is well developed. Eye-brow ridges are moderate. Eye : the eye-colour is light-blue or grey.
Stature: the stature is extremely variable—usually short and medium predominate. The body is thickly set.
The Dinaric race exhibits both the Nordic and the Armenoid physical features. This population is chiefly distributed in Dinaric Alps region, especially the Yugoslavia, Albania and Austrian Tyrol. A scattered distribution has been noted in Central Europe. In many cases they share some racial elements from Alpine, Atlanto-Mediterranean and possibly Indo-Afghan, apart from Nordic and Armenoid.
These people are characterised by the following physical features:
Skin colour: the complexion varies from lighter bumet to olive shade.
Hair: the form is straight or wavy or curly. The texture is medium. The colour runs from medium to dark brown, sometimes light shades are also found. The hair on body and face are abundant.
Head: the form is brachycephalic with flat occiput region.
Nose: the nose form is leptorrhine. It looks narrow from the profile view. The tip is fleshy in general. The nasal root is high. The nasal bridge is high and narrow.
Face: the form is long and narrow with deeper, heavier and more projecting chin than Armenoid people. Forehead is straight and sloping.
Eye: the eye-colour is brown which varies from light to dark.
Lips: the lips are moderately full and thick.
Stature: the stature is tall; average height is about 172cm.
The Armenoids exhibit a considerable amount of Classical Mediterranean, Alpine, Nordic and Indo-Afghan racial elements in them. Recent studies reveal that this particular group is an admixture between the Mediterranean and the Alpine. Dr. Byron has found out the Alpine, Classical Mediterranean and minor amount of Nordic element in the formation of this race. Asia Minor may be assumed as the earliest known area from which the Armenoid race might have been spread southward to Arabia and India.
The sculpture of a man that has been discovered from the ruins of Mohenjodaro shows Armenoid physical features. Similar type of racial elements has also been projected from among the Babylonians, Assyrians and Hittites. However, Armenoids are concentrated in Turkey, Syria and Palestine. Such type of physical characters has also been noticed among the people of Iraq, Iran and Balkan Countries. The people of Greece, Bulgaria and United States are no exceptions. But, the typical Armenoid representatives are the ancient Hittites.
