Clyda Rosen was a porn star and adult model from the late 60's to the early 90's. Born in Israel , Rosen moved to London where she did all her films and nude magazine layouts, many of the latter shot by pinup photography legend Harrison Marks .

Her film career began with her in a few of Harrison Marks 's motion picture films, most notably Unaccustomed As I Am , a 10 minute black and white film in which Clyda has to go through airport customs and the Customs officer starts a sex scene with her. Some of the other films Marks made with Rosen include "Autograph Hunter", in which Clyda plays a groupie who breaks into the home of rock star Randy Tool, and "Dolly Mixture", a horror spoof in which Clyda plays the female creation of a Mad Doctor who indulges in mammary sex with the Doctor’s Hunchback assistant.

Clyda also did a number of still shoots and appeared in various magazines in the late 60's and early 70's and even did a couple of hard core sex shoots as well.

In the mid-seventies Clyda dramatically reinvented herself, having a breast reduction operation as a result of a back complaint, cutting her hair short and billing herself as Vietta Manning . Her ‘Manning’ era work includes the hardcore loops, Siebzehn (17) Jahre , MassageSalon Elvia and Marks’ Tea and Crumpet plus her only feature film role in Sex Maniacs (1977) shot in cloak and dagger circumstances by Lasse Braun and an all British crew using pseudonyms.

In 1985 Clyda did a layout for Gent magazine while both pregnant and following a breast reduction .

Clyda continued performing in pornography in the 1980s and 1990s appearing in the German Hardcore Magazine Touch Me #1 ( 1986 ) and lesbian video Tit to Tit #3 (1991), Pregnant and Milking in the UK 2 (1994), Busty Sensations #9 (1992) and Hirsute Lovers (1991), a fetish tape in which Clyda seduces a woman with extensive body hair. In keeping with her age these videos feature her in ‘older woman’ mode however her remarkably well preserved look in the tapes is closer to her original Clyda Rosen image than in the Vietta Manning period.

She eventually retired and had one son.

An original still of Clyda Rosen and co-star on the set of the Harrison Mark’s 1973 glamour film ‘Dolly Mixture’, where he seems to be getting to grips with Clyda and getting more than a handful of her rather large tits! Dolly Mixture is another of those later GHM films that were shot both in a full colour hardcore version for the overseas market, and shot a week later, a black and white softcore version for the British market. This shot comes from the softcore version, along with over 80 other original negatives I’ve acquired.
A couple of interesting facts about this version, the actor above appeared in several of Marks’ films including Dolly Mixture and Santa’s Coming, but there is no mention of his name other than a pseudonym of “Short Jack Gold”. The mad professor in the softcore version is also the same actor that plays the main insurance investigator in the hardcore version, who is credited as being Paul Kirby. Clyda got so carried away filming the softcore version that the simulated sex ended up being the real thing, with Clyda letting the lucky Mr Gold have full sex with her. The 80 odd negatives I have actually covered the whole film and put together would actually make a good slide show of the film, which I may do someday once I get the chance. Other than that, a great action shot of Clyda and her massive tits being manhandled by Mr Gold!

You can’t beat a bit of Clyda Rosen in all her bushy hardcore glory! The front and rear cover image from the box of the 8mm adult film ‘Die Autogrammstunde – Teil 2’ or The Autograph Signing – Part 2 by Harrison Marks.
This adult loop film (Ekstase-Film No.6) was from the mid 1970’s and featured Clyda Rosen, a blonde model and `Big` John English and Paul Kirby in all out hardcore action! As the title states this was part 2, as the film was split into two 60 meter loops and I have both parts. It’s again produced in German, but let’s face it you don’t need subtitles or to understand German to know what’s going on! I have also included the front and rear cover of part 1 below, which features a much more explicit cover than the one featuring Clyda. I must also get round to digging out both films and posting the actual action itself

Being a Clyda Rosen fan where most of the images and content of her are well known and well published it’s very rare to come across any original content of her, but as far as I can tell this is one such image I’ve never seen anywhere else. Yes, there are various shots of her in similar poses on that sheepskin rug, but not this particular shot. It comes from an original medium format negative and I think was defined as being taken by Harrison Marks, although I have my doubts? GHM did use her in several of his 1970’s adult films, which I’m sure he also took stills from, but don’t think I’ve seen this as part of that collection, but I may be wrong?
Thankfully not too graphic in nature, but it sure does show off Clyda’s assets to full effect, including that very thick lush bush and those rather large tits! Not to everyone’s taste, but still a rare find!

As mentioned in previous Clyda posts, I have a digitized copy of Die Lollos, in which Clyda attempts to smuggle pornography through British customs. In the softcore version (Unaccustomed As I Am), Clyda is stopped and strip searched by a male customs officer. In this hardcore version, the customs officer is female (Jacki Rigby), who gives Clyda a thorough strip search and examination, with Clyda returning the favour!

Clyda is a favourite of mine for various reasons that are obvious and early in her career she worked for Harrison Marks on films such as Autograph Hunter, Dolly Mixture and probably the most famous of the Marks/Rosen 8mm films was Die Lollos (Unaccustomed As I Am). She also appeared in numerous other hardcore films and magazines doing things that leave little to the imagination!
This is a set from Private No.38 (1977) and is a prime example of Clyda dressed as an Arabian Princess putting her body and talents to the test, that leaves nothing to the imagination, need I say more!
