When Sophia Vogel enters into her subjects' homes to include them in her photo series With and Without , she asks them what hobbies they're into. After they say "listening to music" or "playing with my cat," Sophia asks them to perform the task regularly and then repeat it without any clothes. She snaps photos during both of those times and then presents the clothed and nude pictures for a side-by-side comparison.
"I want to point out that sporting nudity should feel just as natural as being clothed," she told Creators. "If you think of it right, we are all naked people underneath our clothes."
True, nudism is less of a taboo than it was a couple of decades ago, but seeing a person in his bare flesh still seems voyeuristic. "The pressure of being a sexual being is omnipresent for every human being," Vogel said. "We are observed and judged every day, and the fashion industry lavishes beauty ideals and criticism on us. We set high standards for ourselves. I want to speak up against these ridiculous standards and highly sexualized imagery."
"By presenting all kinds of different body shapes and natural postures, I would love to show that everybody is beautiful in their own way." Her nude photography doesn't have any sexual connotation, even though nudity is highly sexualized in our modern society . "I love to present nudity aesthetically without any sexual context. Not every single nudist photograph should be linked to sexuality."
Her subjects are not models, but regular people who feel connected to Vogel's project and reached out via Instagram, e-mail, or word-of-mouth. The artist already featured teachers, dentists, attorneys, and other volunteers. Most of them are Millennials: "Right now, I am unfortunately only able to get ahold of the younger generations, but I would love to photograph a wide age range."

They look better to you because it's what you're used to seeing. If we were all used to seeing everyone's different bodies, we'd be totally fine with it :) The more you're exposed to something, the easier it is to adapt to it.

Reposted from triplecreekoutfitters If you have ever been in camp and asked me about hunting you have probably heard me say one day I want to be able to say one of these is mine on the wall. After years of trying and only getting to hunt between groups of hunters or kids activities we finally made it happen last night.
We had been watching this deer on my camera in the backyard come in most nights. But he would never make it to the stand area in time. We had to come up with a new plan. My guide/husband richard.blakelsee (who I have given hell to for the last few years 😂) decided we were going to go after him a little risky. That afternoon we went out and put up a new stand, in a small tree, with a plan of getting in right when the wind changed. The plan could not have gone anymore perfectly, he did exactly what we thought he would do and I was in the right place to make it happen. I watched him come in from a couple hundred yards away. He jumped the fence and stood 25 yards from me. Gave me plenty of time to make a great shot.
I told duffmlb on the phone I shook all the leaves off that little tree I was shaking so bad after it happened. Couldn’t thank him enough for the awesome new mathewsinc bow, that equipment made all the difference for me. Thank you majorleaguebow
I feel pretty blessed to get to take a deer of this caliber and to do it in my own backyard 200 yards from my back door is even better. My girls got to come out of the house and enjoy it with us (don’t ask Brooksie about the gutting part, she did not like it).
Next year when you walk into camp, feel free to ask me which deer on the wall is mine. I will finally get to show you. 😉
