Clio AI Lab — Privacy Policy

Clio AI Lab ("Clio", "we", "us") is an educational app that teaches people how to use AI tools. We designed it to need as little of your data as possible.
What we collect
- Nothing that identifies you. Clio has no accounts, no sign-up, and no login.
- Your learning progress — completed lessons, streaks, your "What do you do?" selection, and app preferences — is stored only on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage. We cannot see it, and it is never uploaded to us.
Network use
- AI News is fetched from public news publishers' RSS feeds. These requests go directly from your device to those websites; we do not send them any personal information about you.
- We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell data.
Notifications
- If you enable the optional daily reminder, Clio schedules a local notification on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
Payments
- Clio is free. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions, so we never process or store any payment information.
Links to other sites
- Tapping a news story opens the publisher's website in an in-app browser. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Children
- Clio is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Data deletion
- Because your data lives only on your device, deleting the app removes it. You can also tap Reset progress in Settings at any time.
Changes
- We may update this policy; the date above will change. Continued use of the app means you accept the update.
