Clerics Declare Shadows Haram

A new religious ruling has declared shadows to be "haram" (forbidden), citing their "unIslamic" tendency to follow people without their explicit consent. The edict claims shadows are a form of "silent stalking" and must be repented for. The faithful are now struggling to comply, with some attempting to walk only at high noon when their shadow is smallest, or shuffling sideways to avoid being followed.
