Clean-up for dugongs

The parking is available at Pullman Panwa Beach resort. It is quite limited so please try to fit in to one car with your friends:)

Adviced to arrive at 8:45 and meet at hotel’s lobby, from where we will go to the beach together. Please find the pictures to see the area of clean-up👇

We will bring plastic bags. We advise you to bring your own gloves. Please don’t forget a hat and SPF to protect yourself from sunrays!

Pullman Panwa Beach Resort team will help us and collect bags after clean-up. The planned duration is 9:00-11:00

After clean-up you can stay a little bit longer to hear the stories from mermaid about dugongs and know better about their living and current situation in Phuket.

Why we clean this area?

Currently dugongs migrate to Phuket and swim in Tang Ken bay to eat seagrass that grows here:) During low tide biologists from DMCR come to set up supplemental food for them and observe from the drones to check body condition of dugongs, their behavior and routes of migration. We want to keep this area clean so dugongs can be more healthy and happy and enjoy being welcomed guests in Phuket☺️
