Some products speak for themselves and as I watched Ally describe the benefits of the heel stoppers my first thought was that if they work and they don’t spoil the look of the shoes then I could see them being a wardrobe essential. When I tried them on I was immediately impressed with the discrete way they tackled the sinking problem. I could also see a wide range of Markets..not just in protecting the shoe heels against mud, gravel, cobbles etc but also in protecting precious floors and carpets against sharp heels. Ally herself had achieved so far against all odds and although she admitted herself she needed help on the Business front, she was (is) full of energy, motivated and clearly resilient.The only question was would we be able to sell enough to turn this into a sensible Business but the low cost of the heel stoppers turns them into an easy purchase that women will pop into their handbags “just in case”. The trend of wearing high heels has been on the rise. Whether it is a formal business meeting or a wedding, ladies often choose high heels to match their outfits. However, like other shoes, it is important to clean high heels every now and then, in order to prevent permanent stains and damage to the shoes. Given below are some tips which will help you clean your heels the next time you need to wear them, depending on their kind of fabric!
1. The first step of cleaning is to use a dry tissue to wipe the insides of the heels. This helps to remove any accumulated dust or skin oils in the heels. If the heels are made of leather or suede use a brush and make short circular movements to brush off dirt.
2. For stubborn stains on leather heels, use a cotton ball dipped in shoe wax to remove the stains. After cleaning, remember to wipe off excess shoe wax. Furthermore, some petroleum jelly applied into the scuff can also help remove marks on the heels.
3. If the heels are made of suede, a pencil eraser can be used to remove dirt. In addition, use a towel soaked in white vinegar to blot off stains. Leave the heels to air dry and after the vinegar has dried, use a brush to remove the marks left behind. Furthermore, rubbing alcohol used with a paper towel also helps to give suede heels a new and refreshed look.
4. If the shoes are made of satin, use a dry tissue to remove dirt. In addition, use a moist towel to dab on stains in a downward direction according to the grains of the fabric. Furthermore, if the stains are still giving you a hard time, add some liquid soap on the moist towel and dab again. After the cleaning process is complete, use a dry towel to soak away excess water and moisture from the satin fabric.
5. If the heels are made of cotton, use a moist cloth to remove dust and use a liquid soap for stubborn stains.
6. For canvas heels, begin the cleaning process after the dirt has completely dried, since attempting to clean while the dirt/stain is still wet will lead to more messiness. Slightly tap the bottom of the pair of shoes together to let the dried mud fall of the heels. Next, add some detergent to a bowl of warm water. Use a clean toothbrush to soak in the water-detergent mixture and scrub the shoes. After scrubbing is done, use a clean cloth with water to wipe away the remaining dirt. Stuff some tissue inside the shoes and keep them in an upright position in sunlight to let them dry completely.
7. To remove bad odor from the shoes, create portable sachets that come handy when needed. Use some ground coffee and enclose it in a packet. This packet can be placed in heels to remove bad odor from them.
