Classic American Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Oil as needed, for pan
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Step 1
Melt the butter and let it cool to room temperature.
Step 2
Then, pour the flour into a big bowl. Add salt, sugar, and baking powder and mix them with a whisk.
Step 3
In another bowl add the egg. Whisk egg with a fork until consistency is even.

Then add the milk and room temperature melted butter to the egg mixture, mix well. Add your vanilla extract to your wet ingredients.
Step 5
Add wet ingredients into the dry ingredients bowl and mix with a spatula until smooth.
Step 6
Set heat to medium and spray frying pan or pancake pan with oil. You can use a measuring cup or ladle to pour batter into the pan.
Step 7
When you see bubbles on the surface, then it's time to flip the pancake. When the other side becomes slightly brown, your pancake is ready. Stack them on a plate and drizzle with maple syrup or honey. Serve with fresh strawberries and sliced bananas.
