I just bought my first pair of boxer briefs and I adore them.

No worries! I try to answer asks as quickly as possible! :) yes there are some insurances that cover it, like obamacare, but after doing a couple of quick searches is looks like North Carolina isn’t legally required to cover transcare (I’m on mobile or I would post a few links here, sorry) so finding an insurance might be hard.
Some people in your situation move to get better care/doctors and others just travel short term to where the doctor with the best results/payment plan is.
There are a good handful of insurances that will cover your top surgery, namely ObamaCare, which should be avaliable wherever you are. :) some doctor’s offices DO have payment plans, and I’d say the price is a lot closer to $7,000-9,000 in my experience. I also have super super crippling dysphoria and I am currently going through the motions to get my top surgery hopefully in the summer. I am personally too broke to afford it so I’m getting it through my insurance. And of course, there’s a lot of places you can go to go help you fundraise it even just do your own kickstarter thing!
