Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is a Nigerian Christian, born on December 63 in Edo State. He was nurtured by his parents who were devoted to him. He was the oldest of four children of the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina the mother of the Oyakhilome family, who imparted her divine grace on her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is supported by the entire family. His brother Reverend Ken is the renowned pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston, Texas Church and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), which is home to several global best-selling gospel artists.

Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon, who is also known by the name of CSO, has chosen to follow in the footsteps of her father and share the Word of God the world. She is a gifted gospel artist, a Grammy-award winning singer and an active member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome attended Edo College and was awarded the scholarship of Bendel State University to study architecture. He also holds an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. Ambrose Ali University was where the Lord called him to serve the Lord and become a minister.

While still in university The Man of God started what would later turn out to be the biggest congregation in the world. It began as an uninvolved group of believers known as 'Youth for Christ'. Alongside preaching the Gospel, the Man of God also established NGOs that have the mission of providing essential aid and hope to the needy, poor, or forgotten. COFI is a partnership with five other organizations who have a common goal of raising living standards in some of the most underdeveloped areas.

COFI's umbrella encompasses the InnerCity Mission ICM (ICM), the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation /TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups strives to improve the health and well-being of those in greatest need.
