Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a family of faith with loving, committed parents. He is the eldest of three sons born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founding members of the Assemblies for God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her faith in God upon her son from the age of a child.

Reverend Ken the brother of Ken is the most revered pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church and a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren serves as the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry(LMAM), where many gospel musicians are among the best-selling worldwide.
Pastor Chris has two daughters, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Carissa Sharon, also known by the name of CSO is a CSO member who has decided to follow in the footsteps of her father, sharing the gospel of God the world. She is a talented, award-winning gospel singer and an active member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a student at Edo College before winning a scholarship to study architecture at Bendel State University, known in the present as Ambrose Ali University, where He earned an BSc in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science award. He also holds an honorary doctorate of divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was his first university. He was called from God to be a minister and serve the Lord.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria in addition to South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.
