Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on the 7 th of December 1973, to Mr. and Mrs. Tim Oyakhilome, as the first child of the family. He went to primary and secondary school, then he attended Ambrose Alli University (AAU) in Ekpoma, Edo State of Nigeria in which he earned a BSc. in Architecture.
Chris Oyakhilome AAU also awarded the honourary Doctor of Science prize. He also has an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. The Reverend Chris was one time a husband to Anita Obhodaghe. He and they have two lovely children.

YFC was growing and eventually was the largest of the fellowships on campus. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the church's main office. Believer's LoveWorld is a global organization that has millions and associates around the world.

It also assists in implementing national policies regarding trauma treatment.
