Pastor Chris Oyakhilome grew up on the 7 thDecember 1973. He was the first member of his family to be born. He went to primary and secondary school. He then went to Ambrose Alli University (AAU) located in Ekpoma, Edo State of Nigeria and graduated with a BSc. in Architecture.
AAU also presented him with an honorary Doctor of Science award. He also has the recipient of an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University. Reverend Chris was earlier married to Anita Obhodaghe. They have two children.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome delved into ministry while he was still a student at AAU. The Believers' LoveWorld fellowship is today Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (YFC) was known at that time as the Believers' LoveWorld Fellowship.
YFC was quickly growing and soon became the largest college fellowship. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. The church's headquarters is in Lagos. Believer's LoveWorld, a worldwide ministry with millions upon millions of associates across the globe, is now called Believers LoveWorld.
Through the 2002 environment for the miracles program, BLW rose to prominence as an Christian ministry on TV in Africa. The foundation also advocates for improved emergency response in the case of accidents or emergencies.
